Dang Hun Mountain

After claiming the inheritance, Fang Yuan arrives at Dang Hun Mountain by fixed immortal travel Gu. ^{ch. 408} With the land spirit guiding him, he smashes gutstones on the mountain; souls that break there fuse into the rock and form gutstones, and some hold guts Gu that strengthen a person’s soul. Guts Gu lasts only an instant, and gutstones cannot be moved, so they must be used on the spot. Narration states that the most valuable part of Hu Immortal blessed land was this Dang Hun Mountain. Hu Immortal obtained the mountain and moved it into her blessed land. ^{ch. 410}

Wisdom Gu tells Ren Zu that on the road of life out of the Door of Life and Death he will meet three obstacles: Dang Hun Mountain, Luo Po Valley, and Reverse Flow River. To climb past Dang Hun Mountain he must smash the gutstones and obtain guts Gu’s help. ^{ch. 410}

Narration states that Spectral Soul Demon Venerable once said Dang Hun Mountain is best for strengthening the soul and Luo Po Valley best for refining it, and that the mountain and valley became the two sacred lands of soul path Gu Masters. ^{ch. 422} Souls placed on the mountain are turned to fragments when the land spirit releases its power, and those fragments scatter over the surface and gradually form into guts Gu. ^{ch. 707} The souls Fang Yuan sends out on the peak are destroyed there, the mountain’s vibrations shattering them into countless soul essences that fuse into the mountain, and not long after it produces a new batch of guts Gu. ^{ch. 996} Continuous expenditure of guts Gu on Dang Hun Mountain strengthens the soul at an unimaginable speed, a quantitative gain set against the qualitative refining of Luo Po Valley. ^{ch. 997}

Fang Yuan deliberately leaves Dang Hun Mountain and Hu Immortal blessed land’s other resources in place rather than moving them to Star Form blessed land, since they were arranged only recently at heavy cost and relocating them risked tipping off Hei Lou Lan. ^{ch. 852}

Fang Yuan recalls that Spectral Soul Demon Venerable once used Dang Hun Mountain and Luo Po Valley to cultivate, and fears Ying Wu Xie could reach the mountain in Hu Immortal blessed land by Fixed Immortal Travel even without knowing that blessed land’s scenery. ^{ch. 1025} Lang Ya Sect’s hairy man Gu Immortals use the ancient battle formation Heavenly Giant Solor to turn into a giant that carries Dang Hun Mountain out of Hu Immortal blessed land, place it in one of their own immortal apertures, and take it back to Lang Ya blessed land through the stargate. ^{ch. 1028} After emptying Hei Fan grotto-heaven, Fang Yuan kills the descendants of Hei tribe’s criminal immortals there and collects their souls, intending to feed them to Dang Hun Mountain. ^{ch. 1133} As Dang Hun Mountain’s owner, Fang Yuan keeps large reserves of guts Gu on hand. ^{ch. 1206} With Dang Hun Mountain placed inside Lang Ya blessed land, Fang Yuan cooperates with Lang Ya Sect in trading the guts Gu it produces. ^{ch. 1324} Fang Yuan leaves Dang Hun Mountain behind on a trip to Western Desert because of its huge demand on the immortal aperture’s heaven and earth qi, relying on treasure yellow heaven to move guts Gu instead. ^{ch. 1495}

Dang Hun Mountain is a secluded domain of heaven and earth, and its dao marks come to an enormous total, one that surpasses even a rank nine Immortal Gu. Those dao marks are scattered, though they can share a type and link closely together. A rank nine Immortal Gu is instead a fragment of the Great Dao, and a Gu Immortal can control it to bring out mysterious powers. A rank nine Immortal Gu and a secluded domain of heaven and earth therefore cannot truly be compared and evaluated. ^{ch. 1257}
