Desolate plant souls, like desolate beast souls, are far inferior to Gu Immortal souls for guts Gu, but quantity and a stable Tai Qiu source can offset the gap. ^{ch. 1199}

Soul cores fed to Dang Hun Mountain in place of souls can at best match the souls of other beasts and plants, not Gu Immortal souls. ^{ch. 1503}
