Among the five regions the west is a huge desert where greenery is extremely rare and yellow sand fills the view. ch. 334 Blood food for Gu that need fresh blood is scarce here relative to the Southern Border’s forests. ch. 157

Impassable dunes

One of Western Desert’s seven most famous natural wonders is the movement of hundreds of thousands of sand dunes along a fixed curved path. On that path there are no oases, beasts, or rocks, only yellow sand, and even rank eight Gu Immortals cannot stop it. Western Desert’s people call them impassable dunes. The impassable dunes are where Fang Yuan first does open business in the region. ch. 837

Trade and Xiao clan

Western Desert is named the place with the greatest trade economy in the five regions. ch. 996 Xiao clan ranks among the richest Western Desert super forces because it holds the Immortal Gu House Ten Thousand Li Silk Corridor, which spreads like a spider web to move goods and burns through large numbers of mortal spider Gu to stay in use. Fang Yuan opens a long-term regretful spider trade with that clan at the dunes and later holds a crucial transaction token after gaining their recognition. ch. 837 ch. 996

Super forces

The Western Desert names a dozen or so super forces, with Tang clan among them. ch. 776

Distance from the Eastern Sea

Western Desert and Eastern Sea have the other regions between them, so a Western Desert Gu Immortal reaching Eastern Sea is rare enough to be eye-catching. ch. 819

A featherman clan in a fragment world

Other Western Desert groups include a featherman clan living for generations in a fragment world of green heaven. ch. 870

  • Han Village A mortal village on the fringe of Sha Jing oasis in Western Desert.
  • Impassable Dunes The impassable dunes are a Western Desert natural wonder of hundreds of thousands of sand dunes that keep moving along a fixed curved path.
  • Myriad Ore Desert Myriad ore desert is a cracked, bare stretch of Western Desert under Shi clan's control, its underground holding a huge mine worked by a hundred thousand rockmen and a gold fragment current deep below.
  • Myriad Statue Desert Myriad Statue Desert is a Western Desert expanse of living sand statues, a transformation path resource ground known to every Gu Immortal of that region.
  • Qing oasis Qing oasis is Western Desert Qing clan's named oasis base.
  • Sand Wolf City A Mo clan main city in Western Desert: a stone city at the center of a vast oasis, with short walls of great length and many mortal residents.
  • Sha Jing Oasis A Western Desert oasis where Huang clan holds the center and mortal villages sit at the fringe.
  • Skeleton Mountain Skeleton Mountain is a Lin clan bone path resource point in Western Desert, later stripped to ruins during Fang clan's assault.
  • Thousand Wish Tree The thousand wish tree is an ancient desolate tree in Western Desert whose ripe fruits grant wishes, including Immortal Gu.
  • Treasure Moon Oasis Treasure Moon Oasis is a Dong clan site in Western Desert's sand sea that Fang clan approaches and strips of natural dao marks with steal dao.
  • Zhou Xi Oasis A small Western Desert oasis controlled by Lan clan, with a no-fly zone in the sky above it.
