Myriad Statue Desert is a Western Desert expanse of living sand statues, a transformation path resource ground known to every Gu Immortal of that region.
Under blazing sun, countless sand statues of humans and beasts fill a majestic desert. Some fight, some lie as if dying, and even the smallest stands tens of feet tall, forming a forest of sand statues called the myriad statue desert. Everyone in Western Desert’s Gu Immortal world knows this huge desert. ch. 1398
Origin and resources
It formed during the Olden Antiquity Era and has lasted over a million years. In Reckless Savage Demon Venerable’s era, humans and variant humans fought here for a hundred days and nights while transformation path was mainstream. Large numbers of Gu Immortals died, their immortal fetuses became blessed lands, and their dao marks changed the land until sand grew slowly into huge statues. Fortune and disaster coexist: the site became a cultivation sanctuary dense with resources. Every sand statue at least sixty feet tall is an immortal material filled with transformation path dao marks. Blessed lands are gone after a million years of tribulations and seizure, yet wild Gu worms and even wild Immortal Gu remain. Mortals cannot traverse the dense dao marks safely, and Western Desert Gu Immortals make a detour. ch. 1398
Territorial ruler
Thousand Transformations Ancestor, a rank eight transformation path Gu Immortal, has held the desert for a thousand years. Myriad statue desert is his territory, and entry without permission means facing rank eight fury. Myriad Statue Palace sits deep below the desert. ch. 1398 He says he occupies myriad statue desert and that everyone knows he obtained Reckless Savage’s true inheritance, so exposing weakness after a myriad tribulation would invite attacks. ch. 1399 His will later directs that after saving Cui Bo and returning to myriad statue desert, the true inheritance go to his main body. ch. 1414 Later comparison with Old Ancestor Xue Hu stresses that Thousand Transformations Ancestor holds Reckless Savage’s true inheritance and controls the whole of myriad statue desert, with enough cultivation resources to support concubines becoming immortals. ch. 1873
