Gu Immortal

A blessed land is an independent small world. The Gu Immortal rules that land. ^{ch. 325} A blessed land can only be created by a Gu Immortal and is the foundation of that immortal’s wealth. Mortal Gu Masters usually raise five or six Gu, while Gu Immortals can raise a million or even ten million Gu worms. ^{ch. 409} Gu Immortals possess immortal essence; a bead of it can stand as unlimited primeval essence, so every Gu Immortal can control large numbers of mortal Gu without running dry. ^{ch. 587}

Gu Masters at rank one to rank five all suffer the restraints of primeval essence. Only after going beyond mortal and becoming a Gu Immortal do they gain endless primeval essence. ^{ch. 341} For many rank five peak stage Gu Masters, the greatest goal is to break away from mortal and charge through to the rank six Gu Immortal realm, thereby gaining a longer life. ^{ch. 373}

Peak stage at rank five is the finishing line of mortal Gu Masters. Gu Immortals at rank six are beyond mortal, and becoming a Gu Immortal is only a new starting point. ^{ch. 609}
