Fei He Mountain

Among tens of thousands of hills in the southern part of Central Continent, sunlight through cloud lights green forest on the floating peak while tides crash at its foot. ^{ch. 334} Later scene openings still open on the same pairing: “Central Continent, Fei He mountain.” ^{ch. 697 ch. 827}

Appearance

The mountain floats on a sea of cloud, grand and piercing the skies. ^{ch. 334} Later text shows Fei He mountain floating among clouds, with trees and ten thousand cranes giving it the living feel of an Immortal’s residence. ^{ch. 406} Another stretch names it a floating mountain with clouds, fog, pine forests, and flying cranes. ^{ch. 827}

Its crane flocks are part of the place. Named kinds on the mountain include ironbeak flying crane, fire pellet crane, tailwind crane, cloud mist crane, and stellar light crane, and the Gu Masters on the mountain are famous throughout the world. Immortal Crane Sect uses that territorial advantage: the mountain holds tens of thousands of flying cranes for its people to command. ^{ch. 334}

Seat of Immortal Crane Sect

This is Immortal Crane Sect, named in the same chapter as one of the top ten sects in Central Continent. ^{ch. 334} He Feng Yang later invites Fang Yuan to look at Fei He mountain, and the narration states outright that it is the base of Immortal Crane Sect. ^{ch. 858} Fang Yuan, analyzing Immortal Crane Sect’s pressure, names it as one of the ten great ancient sects of Central Continent, and as having stood at Fei He mountain for hundreds of thousands of years. ^{ch. 658}

Disciples train crane groups on the mountain itself. Fang Zheng practices formations with thousands of iron beak flying cranes on a cliff of Fei He mountain before flying back into Immortal Crane Sect grounds. ^{ch. 656} The sect’s sparring arena is also on the mountain: Fang Zheng’s examination fight against Sun Yuan Hua opens there before crane groups are called from the flocks. ^{ch. 334}
