On Qing Mao Mountain, Lord Sky Crane brings a crane flock into battle beside First gen Gu Yue’s blood Gu. Bladewing blood bats and blood guillotines are smaller than the Iron Beak Flying Cranes and gain movement advantage against them. ch. 192 Fang Yuan later dodges a claw attack from an Ironbeak Flying Crane during that fight. Dozens of flying cranes swarm First gen Gu Yue; their iron beaks break against the blood wight body as if striking steel skin. At Immortal Crane Sect on Fei He mountain, ironbeak flying crane sits among named crane types such as fire pellet crane, tailwind crane, cloud mist crane, and stellar light crane. Fang Zheng fields an ironbeak flying crane group in a sect examination, large enough that watchers call it a myriad beast king level force. ch. 334
He Feng Yang later keeps iron beak flying cranes mixed with other crane types in his immortal aperture and sends the iron beak group to block trapping threads with their bodies. ch. 702 In that battle the iron beak flying cranes are black as steel, with increased defense, and charge without fear of death. ch. 703
