Chapter 192

The white-brow elderly laughs and opens his palm on a Kinship Bloodworm that points at First gen Gu Yue. He refined it from the heart blood of First gen Gu Yue’s two sons. The boys were only five to six years old, so he took their blood every month for tens of years, and both died soon after. He searched with the bloodworm for many years, but its range is limited, and almost dying he sealed himself. He came out for one last try and found First gen Gu Yue by coincidence. He also admits sending Tie Xue Leng a letter to draw him there. ^{ch. 192}

He is Lord Sky Crane, from Middle Continent, who rose to fame ruling a myriad beast king level crane king with the rank five Crane Enslavement Gu. That put a ten thousand beast army under him, enough to wipe out a village alone. Hundreds of years ago he and First gen Gu Yue were senior and junior brothers of Middle Continent’s Immortal Crane Sect, chasing demonic Gu Masters together as the Righteous Twin Cranes. They found one of the Blood Sea Ancestor’s inheritances, a true treasure that could turn a mortal into an immortal. Lord Sky Crane obtained it first. First gen Gu Yue, corrupted by greed, stole the Gu worm and failed to kill him. ^{ch. 192}

First gen Gu Yue then hid his name and fled, and found no Lifespan Gu in tens of years. In his final days he changed his appearance, called himself Gu Yue and founded Gu Yue village on Qing Mao Mountain. Immortal Crane Sect is very interested in the blood sea inheritance. With its help, Lord Sky Crane had used the life-preserving Jade Burial Gu to fall into a deep sleep. That method hangs on to life without adding lifespan, and like First gen Gu Yue’s turn into a zombie it is an unorthodox desperate measure. Lifespan Gu alone adds lifespan at the root. Lord Sky Crane swears to exterminate the bloodline, destroy the thousand year plot and take back his opportunity. ^{ch. 192}

First gen Gu Yue strikes first. Blood water fountains up and tens of thousands of blood guillotines fly out, while countless bladewing blood bat Gu rise and throw the crane flock into chaos. Far smaller than Iron Beak Flying Cranes, they hold the advantage in movement. Lord Sky Crane rides the flying crane king straight at him, and the hidden blood river python bites its neck to drag it into the blood pond. The crane king grabs the python, weakened by its battle with Tie Xue Leng, and carries it away from the village. ^{ch. 192}

Lord Sky Crane pounces on First gen Gu Yue, who steps out of the red coffin and grows jet-black bat wings. First gen Gu Yue’s Blood Wight Gu is a rank five flying zombie, top of the classic Zombie Gu series. The two collide in the air with almost equal strength, and the aftermath topples numerous bamboo buildings. Lord Sky Crane, a dying old man, is slowly overpowered and falls into a disadvantage. He rages that the blood guillotine and bladewing blood bat Gu were supposed to be his. He plays his trump card, Raise Eyebrows & Exhale Gu, and his eyebrows grow into two thick bushes tens of metres long that coil around First gen Gu Yue. First gen Gu Yue, shocked and furious, struggles in vain. ^{ch. 192}

The Gu drains primeval essence from both apertures, and using it on a stronger foe is usually courting death. Here it favors Lord Sky Crane, since the zombie aperture of First gen Gu Yue is dead and cannot recover natural primeval essence. Although Lord Sky Crane barely has any lifespan, his aperture is full of life and his primeval essence still recovers. First gen Gu Yue retreats. The eyebrows extend with him, and his blood guillotines and bladewing blood bats achieve nothing, since cut strands reconnect. ^{ch. 192}

Seeing that he will definitely lose at this rate, First gen Gu Yue sends the guillotines and bats at Lord Sky Crane instead. Lord Sky Crane must keep sustaining the Gu and can only defend passively with his light barrier, which wavers. His heart sinks. Lord Sky Crane will likely lose his barrier and then his life before First gen Gu Yue’s primeval essence runs out. ^{ch. 192}
