Beside immortal zombie Bo Qing stand Envoy Blue of Shadow Sect, who is immortal zombie Seven Star Child, the blood path demonic immortal Song Zi Xing called Blood Dragon, and the hairy man refinement path Gu Immortal Yu Mu Chun. ^{ch. 997}

A scene of the first split souls leaving the Door of Life and Death states that only seven of ten made it past Reverse Flow River, that they chose to create an organization called Shadow Sect, and that the seven took the names Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Azure, Blue, and Purple. ^{ch. 1016}

Fang Yuan reads that after the battle on Yi Tian Mountain each region’s Zombie Alliance has become an empty shell, with Northern Plains Zombie Alliance vanishing and Dark Flow Giant City said to have sunk into Earth Trench. He concludes that Shadow Sect intentionally sacrificed Zombie Alliance while leaving defensive measures, including that sinking of Dark Flow Giant City. ^{ch. 1084}

Ying Wu Xie tells Hei Lou Lan that Shadow Sect has a spy inside Lang Ya blessed land. ^{ch. 1038}

Ying Wu Xie is informed that Fang Yuan has passed his tribulation, because Shadow Sect still keeps one hairy man Gu Immortal traitor inside Lang Ya blessed land. ^{ch. 1060} Ying Wu Xie orders Sixth Hair to keep watching Fang Yuan and to let him develop, planning that once Ying Wu Xie has gathered strength and saved their main body the sect will settle accounts with Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 1079}

Shadow Sect had emptied out almost all of its treasuries to refine sovereign immortal fetus Gu, even using Zombie Alliance itself as immortal material for the ten extreme formation. ^{ch. 1066}

Purple Mountain True Monarch, a first generation split soul, led Shadow Sect until he turned into a purple gold rock, after which Da Li took over as leader. ^{ch. 1402}

At the crumbling stone lotus island, Spectral Soul’s will passes on the main body’s soul path true inheritance together with the rest of the collection, and tells Fang Yuan he has now completely inherited Shadow Sect and its hundred thousand years of accumulation. ^{ch. 1435}
