Chapter 771

Dragon Commander Ye Cha, one of Dark Flow Giant City’s three leaders, leads three immortal zombies chasing Feng Jiu Ge, exposed as an outsider when the discussion hall’s dao mark door caught his disguise inside Northern Plains Zombie Alliance. Feng Jiu Ge turns and offers to spare their lives if they answer his questions honestly, and as the zombies rage, a female zombie scanning for a trap finds three Central Continent Gu Immortals already ringing them alongside him. Feng Jiu Ge drops his disguise, his rank seven Gu Immortal aura plain. ^{ch. 771}

Ye Cha rallies the zombies, pointing out the numbers are even and raging that these Central Continent Gu Immortals really dare to target the Zombie Alliance. Feng Jiu Ge notes their request for reinforcements should by now have reached Dark Flow Giant City. He reveals the ground is sealed by a battlefield killer move that isolates them, so the message will likely never arrive, and he claims the confidence to kill them all before help could come regardless. He offers a soul searching method that will spare them if they answer honestly. Fearing his built up morale will crumble if Feng Jiu Ge keeps talking, Ye Cha cuts him off and charges with the other three into a diamond formation. ^{ch. 771}

Two Central Continent Gu Immortals fight the four zombies in an intense battle and, despite Ye Cha’s fierce resistance, steadily gain the upper hand over fifteen minutes. Ye Cha stops the fight and agrees to answer anything that does not touch the alliance’s core interests. Feng Jiu Ge asks about an immortal zombie named Sha Huang. Ye Cha does not know the name, but a female zombie says Sha Huang just joined, and Feng Jiu Ge asks to hear more. ^{ch. 771}

Elsewhere another fight has ended: Fairy Jiang Yu’s group surrounds an injured, bloodied Qin Bai Sheng, who tells them to kill him rather than take his Immortal Gu or materials. Jiang Yu calls him Lord Vice Envoy, says they would never take their own leader’s life, and names him a member of Shadow Sect whose soul was modified. Bai Sheng scoffs, sure this is a lie for his belongings. He refuses to believe his soul could be altered without his noticing. A black robed Gu Immortal among them answers that their sect’s method leaves no trace even a rank nine Gu Immortal could find, since its perfection keeps the modified person from ever detecting it, so over time he becomes someone else entirely. ^{ch. 771}

Jiang Yu explains Bai Sheng designed this plan himself, insisting that deceiving the enemy required deceiving himself first. She offers a soul path Immortal Gu holding his own remnant soul, saying fusing with it will show him the truth. Bai Sheng inspects it, finding a lump of soul vaguely tied to him. He crushes it anyway, refusing to be trapped by their trick. Xue Song Zi cries out at the loss, while Hei Cheng, a little surprised, admires his sheer self confidence. ^{ch. 771}

The black robed Gu Immortal asks how they can salvage this now. Jiang Yu is unworried: a broken Immortal Gu’s soul would normally dissipate, but they had taken pains to bring him somewhere that prevents it. Fog clears to reveal Luo Po Valley, where Jiang Yu raises countless Gu worms into a super Gu formation founded on an immense number of white lotus giant silkworm Gu. Bai Sheng cries out in pain, and after a dozen breaths tens of Gu worms, many of them Immortal Gu, fly up from the valley into his immortal aperture, restoring his full strength. ^{ch. 771}

Bai Sheng studies his hands, recalls everything, and vows to settle the score with Feng Jiu Ge. He asks Jiang Yu whether Hei Cheng, Xue Song Zi, and He Lang Zi are all she found, since the three alone cannot take Lang Ya blessed land. Jiang Yu and the black robed Gu Immortal kneel to mark his return, and Hei Cheng and Xue Song Zi bow slightly, but He Lang Zi stays defiant. Jiang Yu admits she performed poorly.
