Bai Sheng

He and Bai Hua are a pair of twins. They are still too young, not even students yet. Fang Yuan sizes them up as two kids. ^{ch. 217} A viewing image of the hunt still shows them as two children. ^{ch. 219} His face turns red from suffocation. Both twins have small hands. ^{ch. 221 ch. 226}

Their bodies resembled candles as they slowly melted. ^{ch. 226}

Fang Yuan remembers siblings who discover a cave during a test at Bai Gu Mountain’s back area at eighteen, activate Flesh Bone Lord’s rank four righteous inheritance, and a hundred years later both rise to rank five and take over Bai village. ^{ch. 214} He also recalls Bai Sheng as eventually Bai clan leader. ^{ch. 217}

Prior-life rumor treats the brother as innately intelligent, with wisdom and near photographic memory even young. ^{ch. 225} Later, Fang Yuan adds that when the pair used Bone Flesh Unity Gu and became righteous twin stars, they misled others about its power and did not use it to grow the clan’s force. ^{ch. 231}

In that account, both siblings kowtow, but Bai Hua fears pain and does not knock loudly, while Bai Sheng’s loud kowtow triggers the first path. Bai Sheng then wants to retrieve the Gu from the corpse; Bai Hua stops him so they leave the senior in peace, and that restraint opens the second path. ^{ch. 222}

At the forge, Bai Sheng protects his sister, shouts for her to run, and charges Fang Yuan, grasping his leg. Fang Yuan knocks him unconscious, then knocks Bai Hua unconscious, strips both, and throws them into the fire. They burn to death. ^{ch. 226} Fang Yuan thinks he should thank the dead siblings for drawing him to the inheritance and for the sacrifice that yields Bone Flesh Unity Gu. ^{ch. 227}
