Heavenly Essence Treasure Lotus

Fang Yuan reads the scene as the end of the Flower Wine Monk inheritance. Centuries earlier the Monk, already knowing the refinement recipe and lacking only a natural spirit spring, secretly refined the lotus in the Gu Yue clan spring after fighting the fourth generation clan leader. ^{ch. 163}

The fusion recipe is attributed to Immortal Venerable Genesis Lotus. The rank three lotus has an advancement route up to rank six Heavenly Essence Treasure Imperial Lotus, named sixth among the Top Ten Great Immortal Gu and priced near Spring Autumn Cicada in worth. Refinement demands a natural spirit spring that is still full of primeval energy, not a long-used spring whose reserves are drying out. Success ends that spring’s ability to produce primeval stones. Advancing further is said to need seven springs at rank four, nine at rank five, and eleven at rank six, plus precious auxiliary Gu. ^{ch. 163}

The lotus must grow nine intact leaves before it can be plucked into an aperture. Fang Yuan finds eight leaves and a damaged half leaf, because the lotus has been compensating for a spring drained across generations, and he estimates over fifty thousand primeval stones are needed to restore that leaf at once. He also judges that removing the lotus would make the spring completely useless, force a frantic clan investigation, and leave Gu Yue clan without the foundation that has sustained it on that mountain for close to a millennium. In his reading, the Monk left the setup as revenge: whether the pluck succeeds or fails, the spring is finished, and without it the clan cannot remain. ^{ch. 163}

A lotus image flickers above the spring water. When grabbed it is blue and white with its petals closed, looking like a lamp filled with a holy aura. It then turns into white blue light and enters the aperture. ^{ch. 182} Deep in the primeval sea it appears like an extremely small spirit spring. ^{ch. 187} It is a blue and white lotus rooted in the aperture depths, with healthy plump petals and a holy aura. ^{ch. 202} It is a bone-like white and blue flower that moves with the primeval sea currents. ^{ch. 273} The rank five Heavenly Essence Treasure King Lotus is a blue and white lotus as large as a face, sealed in crystal. ^{ch. 558}

The rank nine Heavenly Essence Treasure Imperial Lotus still has jade green lotus leaves, bright and smooth, like a layer of glaze. At the center is a lotus flower bud. The petals are pure white and jade-like. It turns surrounding primeval energy into clear dew beads that flow along the glazed leaves into the bud. The white jade flower bud turns from white to pink, then to bright red. When the petals are fully red it blooms and shows a jade green lotus pod with eighty-one lotus seeds, each a yellow apricot immortal essence bead. After the beads are taken, the flower contracts and turns white again. ^{ch. 2235}

He spends about fifty thousand primeval stones to bring the lotus to a state he can grab, passes the Moat Gu crystal wall, and refines the rank three flower Gu by leaking a little Spring Autumn Cicada aura. The lotus becomes white blue light and enters his aperture. Without it, the spring’s whirlpools vanish and the water turns into still water with no signs of life. ^{ch. 182}

Producing stones is only an expression of its innate ability to produce natural primeval essence, which then condenses into stones. It is also called a grass Gu. After refinement, that essence supply is continuous and easy for the owner to use. Fang Yuan does not have to split his attention the way he would when absorbing stones by hand. With a freshly refined rank three copy, his recovery while fighting already reaches a speed comparable to B grade aptitude Gu Masters. ^{ch. 187} During his earlier rank three period, the Gu again gives him recovery comparable to B grade aptitude Gu Masters, and it keeps resources from being the main limit before rank three again after a later setback. Heavenly Essence Treasure Lotus sits with Liquor worm, relic Gu, and related worms under the cultivation category. ^{ch. 214} It is also called a movable primeval spring, with a daily output priced at fifty primeval stones. By the Shang clan city stretch he still keeps it, notes he lacks the recipe to advance it further, and expects its help to become negligible once he reaches rank four. ^{ch. 273}

Shang clan city’s auction presents a recipe for rank four Heavenly Essence Treasure Monarch Lotus. The crowd lists the series as rank three Heavenly Essence Treasure Lotus, rank four Heavenly Essence Treasure Monarch Lotus, and rank five Heavenly Essence Treasure King Lotus, and ties the line to Immortal Venerable Genesis Lotus, including talk of rank six Heavenly Essence Treasure Imperial Lotus. The recipe needs Heavenly Essence Treasure Lotus as the main ingredient. ^{ch. 308} Wei Yang places the last bid and obtains the recipe in public. ^{ch. 308} Fang Yuan had made him bid to avoid suspicion; afterward Wei Yang hands over a heart engraved Gu that carries the Monarch Lotus refinement method Fang Yuan lacked before. ^{ch. 309}

Fang Yuan treats advancing his rank three copy into Heavenly Essence Treasure Monarch Lotus as a large later project that needs spirit springs. ^{ch. 345}

Inside Eighty-Eight True Yang Building’s treasure room he finds a rank five Heavenly Essence Treasure King Lotus sealed in crystal and recalls the series from rank three Heavenly Essence Treasure Lotus through rank six Heavenly Essence Treasure Imperial Lotus. He had used a Heavenly Essence Treasure Lotus earlier to cover weak aptitude, but advancing it cost too many natural spirit springs, and after his aptitude improved greatly he gave up on the heavenly essence treasure lotus Gu. He judges there is no point in using the rank three Heavenly Essence Treasure Lotus anymore, while the rank five King Lotus fits his present condition, and he exchanges four spring egg Gu for that King Lotus and refines it at once. ^{ch. 558}
