Blood-red light then retreats to the pavilion roof, the seat of Blood Asset Immortal Gu. Blood Asset is still rank seven for lack of rank eight blood path immortal materials. The fifty to sixty percent rank eight success rate is enough to mass-produce rank eight Immortal Gu, and ordinary refinement would spend at least ten times the immortal materials he spends. After later adjustments the house is much stronger. Including fan wind Gu, Fang Yuan has already refined over fifty rank eight Immortal Gu with it. He Chun Qiu reports that Wu clan’s fan wind Gu advanced successfully after two failures. ^{ch. 2142}

The house has Regret Pool’s ability: any Immortal Gu it refines leaves an insignia, and if that Immortal Gu is destroyed the house uses a tributary of the River of Time with the insignia to refine it again at a higher success rate than refining a new rank eight Immortal Gu. He Chun Qiu takes charge while the water of time moves in the pool, and in a few days all destroyed rank eight Immortal Gu from an earlier battle are refined. ^{ch. 2161}

Inside the house, grey fire like a mountain melts wood path immortal materials over ten thousand year profound ice that seals rank eight Heavenly Essence Treasure Imperial Lotus. Assisting Gu Immortals read the method as ice refinement fused with fire refinement, and in essence as the human isolation style combined with hairy man natural Gu refinement. Tiny flaws in processing the wood path immortal materials accumulate until Fang Yuan’s refinement path intuition forces him to stop; rank nine immortal materials are wasted, the assisting Gu Immortals take mild injuries, and the house is damaged. A sudden failure without that stop would destroy the house completely, or leave only a small portion. ^{ch. 2232}

The house later erupts with unparalleled light as Heavenly Essence Treasure Imperial Lotus is successfully elevated, and its rank nine aura fills the entire aperture. ^{ch. 2234}

After Fang Yuan raises Advance Refinement to rank nine, he treats the house as about to rise to rank nine as well, a rank of Immortal Gu House that is rare in human history. He must modify the earlier house to make it suitable for rank nine Advance Refinement before placing that Gu back in. He judges that once it is a true rank nine it would suppress Divine Emperor City, which has no rank nine Immortal Gu, and that a ranking list of Immortal Gu Houses would then put it first. Heaven Overseeing Tower is the most famous such house; with rank nine fate Gu destroyed it cannot be constructed again. ^{ch. 2253}

After that rank nine Advance Refinement is added, the house becomes a genuine rank nine Immortal Gu House. It still has the same four cores: Advance Refinement at rank nine, and Water Refinement, Regret, and Blood Asset at rank eight. Blood Asset has reached its limit and cannot be raised to rank nine; Heavenly Court’s suppression of blood path development is the cause. The house was created before the battle in Crazed Demon Cave; once Fang Yuan is a refinement path supreme grandmaster he can modify it, and it gains a huge boost in refining Gu. He uses the pool to cleanse his soul: extra arms vanish and he returns to one head, weakening the drawback of his soul path cultivation. ^{ch. 2265}
