Regret Gu

In Paradise Earth’s grotto-heaven paradise, a forbidden sea area called Demon Suppression Regret Crying Sea is said to hold a supreme demon under a super immortal formation that makes him regret and repent, so cries of regret sound across the water. From that information Fang Yuan names regret Gu. ^{ch. 1657}

Regret Gu is used to suppress the demon in that sea and is not part of Paradise Earth’s true inheritance. Fang Yuan determines that it is hidden somewhere in the center of the sea area. While he is still weighing how to take it, the large formation activates and regret Gu shoots straight at him; a boundless force presses on his body and he vanishes from Paradise Earth’s grotto-heaven. ^{ch. 1674}

After Liu Shu Xian dies blocking Hong Ting’s tribulation as he reaches rank nine, the heaven and earth qi left in his immortal aperture merges into a rank eight Immortal Gu shaped by his state of mind: regret Gu. It has a centipede’s form and a body pale white like paper, but a hundred translucent feelers take the place of its legs, floating in the air and stirring the deepest regret. ^{ch. 1677}

As Red Lotus Demon Venerable, Hong Ting leaves rank eight regret Gu as the core of the first stone lotus island in the River of Time, for the person with the greatest hope of destroying Fate. Red Lotus’ true meaning later lends it to Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable. Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable says it constantly draws regret out of any Gu Immortal who comes near, and that without his rank nine cultivation he might not be able to suppress it. Red Lotus’ true meaning warns Fang Yuan that touching regret Gu directly would drown him in endless regret even after refining it. Fang Yuan grabs it and refines it at once. ^{ch. 1678}

With it Fang Yuan holds five rank eight Gu worms. Regret Gu and the time path immortal materials Red Lotus Demon Venerable left mean he can build Regret Pool and begin refining Gu en masse. ^{ch. 1679} He uses regret Gu to build a refinement path Gu formation in which a small part of a failed Gu refinement can be done again. ^{ch. 1680} Rank eight regret Gu has a huge appetite for the mist of extreme marsh flowers, which must be fresh, so buying it from outside is not practical; Fang Yuan’s time path clone builds an extreme marsh to feed it. ^{ch. 1681}

Regret Gu is not on the stone lotus island this time: Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable took it, and it is still inside the dragon whale grotto-heaven. In the previous life Fang Yuan used Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable’s arrangements to obtain regret Gu first and was then carried to the island. Now he reaches the island in advance and takes the Red Lotus true inheritance without it. ^{ch. 1754}

Extreme marsh flower mist is the food of regret Gu. The mist needs to be fresh and is hard to store, so the best method is to build a matching resource point in the immortal aperture. In this life Fang Yuan builds that marsh in advance even though he has not obtained regret Gu yet, so that food will be ready when he does. ^{ch. 1808}

He still has not obtained regret Gu and does not want a mass refinement to raise the rank of his current Immortal Gu for now. ^{ch. 1821}

In the previous life, once regret Gu flew to Fang Yuan, its venerable method sent him to the stone lotus island in the River of Time. That island was destroyed in his earlier battle in the River of Time, and without it the venerable method cannot activate. This time regret Gu is only one part of his plan to take down Dragon Whale Paradise. ^{ch. 1893}

Inside Dragon Whale Paradise he stares at an area at the bottom of the sea and notes there are no actions from regret Gu. Without the stone lotus island, the venerable method used on regret Gu cannot find its location. Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable had once borrowed regret Gu through the stone lotus island. In the previous life regret Gu flew out and transported Fang Yuan; in this life it shows no movement, so he judges he must take action himself. ^{ch. 1903}

As Gu Immortals attack the weakened underwater formation, cries of regret rise from inside it and regret Gu’s influence breaks the attackers’ morale. Only Fang Yuan is unmoved; he judges that the demonic immortal sealed inside is spreading regret Gu’s power to weaken its hold on him and break free. ^{ch. 1905} Fearing that the damaged underwater formation would collapse and destroy the Immortal Gu inside it, regret Gu among them, Fang Yuan retrieves the formation. ^{ch. 1910}

This time regret Gu is Fang Yuan’s greatest gain. In his last life he followed Regret Pool’s design and made regret Gu the core of a refinement path Gu formation. Now that he has annexed Lang Ya blessed land and holds its Long Hair refinement path formation, he only adjusts that formation and has regret Gu placed in its vacant core. ^{ch. 1912} When a refinement in the formation goes wrong at its last portion of immortal material and an incomplete rank seven Immortal Gu begins to break apart, regret Gu’s power restores that Gu, and only the last portion of material is lost. ^{ch. 1913}

Fang Yuan uses rank eight regret Gu, the essence of Regret Pool, to build the pavilion in the pool of his new Immortal Gu House, Four Elements Square Regret Blood Refinement Pool. ^{ch. 2077}
