In the small house, Fang Yuan feeds a golden scale from a desolate beast golden dragonfish into a ball of black oil essence. He uses two immortal materials, the scale and the black oil, so the refinement is already immortal level. He finds the two highly compatible and keeps adding scales. Fang Yuan walks out to the bows of the waiting Gu Masters. Xia Lin had imagined a white haired expert of immense kindness, so she is surprised he is so young. Days later, Fang Yuan returns to the Merit Obelisk, finds a new mission and changed rankings, and sees himself third. He is a little joyful, since this affirms his guess that merit is helping others.
