In Mini Central Continent inside the sovereign immortal aperture, Fang Yuan’s time path clone watches a Gu refinement under dark clouds. Lightning splits a white boulder, and man as before Immortal Gu floats out as a multicolored butterfly. After six failures it has finally advanced from rank six to rank seven. The rank six version healed only rank six Gu Immortals and barely worked on rank seven, and Fang Yuan had used it effectively only thanks to his sovereign immortal body. He returns empty-handed several days later because a layer of dream realm surrounds Dragon Palace and bars him. Fairy Zi Wei consoles him that Heavenly Court’s formation is ready to suppress Spectral Soul and extract his Pure Dream Reality Seeker Physique method. Fairy Zi Wei adds that he lacks resources, especially time path ones, and can hardly face Heavenly Court’s arrangements in the River of Time, leaving him no chance at Red Lotus’ true inheritance. His escape cost huge immortal essence and exposed nearly all his trump cards, she says, and quickening his aperture’s time to refill rank eight essence would also hasten his tribulation.
