Luck Inspection Immortal Gu

At the auction of luck path true inheritance essence, Qin Bai Sheng states that a rank six luck inspection Immortal Gu is with him and that he will not sell it. He places mortal luck inspection Gu recipes and a remnant rank seven Immortal Gu recipe on the block instead, and says everything related to luck inspection Gu is being auctioned apart from that Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 760} He later tells Feng Jiu Ge that he used his rank six luck inspection Immortal Gu, saw that Sha Huang’s luck was greater than normal, and befriended that seller for that reason. ^{ch. 768}

Asked whether that Gu can check Fortune Rivalling Heaven on Ma Hong Yun, Qin Bai Sheng answers that only rank eight luck inspection Immortal Gu can see Fortune Rivalling Heaven’s true appearance, and that luck inspection Immortal Gu below rank eight can see only a portion when the target uses no concealment. He says he has already used the rank six Gu and found some traces, while his certainty that Fortune Rivalling Heaven was used also rests on soul search. ^{ch. 761}

The rank six luck inspection Immortal Gu originally belonged to Qin Bai Sheng. Shi Nu obtained it for temporary use, and after the battle of Yi Tian Mountain it transferred to Ying Wu Xie. It is an investigative Gu that can inspect the luck of people. ^{ch. 1060} A later inventory lists Luck Inspection among Fang Yuan’s rank six Immortal Gu: he had owned it before the Battle of Yi Tian Mountain, Ying Wu Xie took it away after Change Soul, and Fang Yuan destroyed some of those Gu while Ying Wu Xie preserved others. ^{ch. 1461}

When Fang Yuan surfaces in front of the five immortals with his appearance already changed, Ying Wu Xie uses luck inspection Immortal Gu and sees that Fang Yuan’s tall luck is exactly the same as his own and Hei Lou Lan’s. Fang Yuan’s appearance can change, but his luck is not concealed, so Ying Wu Xie realizes this is Fang Yuan and calls at once for the ancient battle formation. ^{ch. 1151}

Not long before, Fang Yuan and Ying Wu Xie had met: Ying Wu Xie used luck inspection Immortal Gu to observe Fang Yuan’s luck and discern his identity, then retreated immediately. Just rank six luck inspection Immortal Gu is enough to make familiar face ineffective, since every Immortal Gu has its natural predator as every living being does. ^{ch. 1154}
