His right hand turns into a dragon claw, then his left hand also turns into a dragon claw. ^{ch. 1361} His long hair is fluttering. His muscular body has changed. His dragon horns are sharper and longer, his hands have turned into dragon claws, his dragon tail waves behind him, and his skin is covered with a layer of dragon scales. ^{ch. 1363}

When someone uses that method, he wakes in Heavenly Court’s immortal graveyard. Ordinary healing fails until Granny Sha feeds him true dragon heavenly water. When news of the awakening spreads, Fairy Zi Wei gives up her position as leader and hands it to him, and the other Heavenly Court Gu Immortals agree. After reading the situation with information path methods, he orders Zhao Lian Yun made Spirit Affinity House’s current generation fairy, gives her a phantom aperture that turns her into a Gu Immortal, and orders the ten great ancient sects to cooperate with her in taking a team to Northern Plains to save Ma Hong Yun after some time. ^{ch. 1230}

After Granny Sha dies having finished repairing Heaven Overseeing Tower, Duke Long tells Fairy Zi Wei that the great era is beginning and some can no longer be allowed to live. When Fairy Zi Wei says the regional walls make Fang Yuan, Ying Wu Xie, Purple, and others too hard to locate, Duke Long answers that they will all head for Southern Border’s giant dream realm, and that eliminating them comes before Northern Plains and Longevity Heaven, which he calls small problems. ^{ch. 1335}

Duke Long’s quasi-rank nine battle strength is on full display as he overwhelms Purple Mountain True Monarch and then moves on Spectral Soul’s own weakened remnant soul. He traps Spectral Soul’s main soul body in a cage of countless air currents, capturing it. ^{ch. 1368}

Back at Heavenly Court, Fairy Zi Wei activates Heavenly Court’s Gu formation on his own instruction to screen his identity, and it looks as though Spectral Soul did not succeed in possessing him. Duke Long rules that Heavenly Court’s immortal graveyard will be used to thoroughly suppress Spectral Soul, and tells Fairy Zi Wei to continue leading Heavenly Court and to do her best to eliminate Fang Yuan and the rest. ^{ch. 1384}

With Spectral Soul’s main body suppressed by Duke Long, Heavenly Court moves to soul search him, though his soul path attainment lets him resist and yield little information. ^{ch. 1436}

Duke Long takes Feng Jin Huang as only his second disciple in his whole life, and when Spirit Affinity House’s supreme elders propose a ceremony of the highest standard publicized widely, he refuses and notifies them that everything is to be kept simple and unpublicized while the standards are kept high. ^{ch. 1442}

In the war around Heavenly Court, steal life from Fang Yuan’s Qi Sea Ancestor identity has already limited him without his noticing. He charges at the forefront until his life ends, having forgotten his lifespan limit in the fight, and dies with rage, killing intent, and confusion on his face. ^{ch. 1966}
