Spirit Affinity House First Supreme Elder

The first supreme elder sits at the main seat when Spirit Affinity House gathers its Gu Immortals after Feng Jiu Ge’s disappearance, and tells them it is confirmed that he has died in Northern Plains. Like the sect’s second supreme elder, she is a female rank eight Gu Immortal. She orders that only those present know of his death and that it be concealed as far as possible, with whoever leaks it to be tried as a traitor of the sect. She assigns Fairy Bai Qing to investigate Bo Qing’s matter. At the close of the meeting she directs the Gu Immortals to continue researching Zhao Lian Yun and to increase her attachment to the sect. ^{ch. 954} In the previous life Feng Jiu Ge met his death within the special space of the Thieving Heaven true inheritance, and history changes once Fang Yuan uses Spring Autumn Cicada and ends up saving him. ^{ch. 1192}

She attends the emergency meeting on Zhao Lian Yun, held together with the second and third supreme elders, Feng Jiu Ge, Fairy Bai Qing, Xu Hao and Li Jun Ying. She and the second supreme elder, the sect’s two rank eight Gu Immortals, are impartial and side with no one, looking only at the benefit of Spirit Affinity House. That impartiality lets Xu Hao and Li Jun Ying remain part of the sect’s core authority despite the power of the Feng faction. Having heard everyone’s stances, she notes that Zhao Lian Yun is an otherworldly demon and says she will report the discussion to the higher-ups to decide. ^{ch. 1222}

An elderly woman, she receives Zhao Lian Yun in a dim secret room and tells her to kneel. Zhao Lian Yun feels that the old woman carries immense authority. The room’s wall holds life tablet Gu bearing the names of the sect’s fairies from the first generation on, and she announces that from now on Zhao Lian Yun is the current generation fairy. She nods when Zhao Lian Yun asks whether the Gu on her shoulder is the reason, and names it love Gu, whose acknowledgement Zhao Lian Yun has received. When Zhao Lian Yun asks why, she does not answer, but sighs and points her to a chapter of The Legends of Ren Zu. ^{ch. 1229}

She tells Zhao Lian Yun that the love Gu on her shoulder is rank nine and cannot be refined, not even by rank nine venerables, and that Giant Sun Immortal Venerable tried for three years in a row and failed. She stopped believing in love long ago, so to her eyes love Gu looks like a grey roadside rock. She warns that each use of love Gu takes something from its user, most commonly immortal essence, and that Zhao Lian Yun, not being a Gu Immortal, might lose her beauty, eyesight or lifespan to it. When Zhao Lian Yun asks to use the sect’s power to return to Northern Plains, she does not answer at once. She does not want Zhao Lian Yun to learn that the recently awakened Duke Long has ordered her made the current generation fairy. She then says that the ten great ancient sects will form a team with Zhao Lian Yun as its core to rescue Ma Hong Yun in Northern Plains. ^{ch. 1230}

She tells Bu Zhen Zi to protect the sect’s fairy on the Northern Plains journey, calling her only a false immortal whose ascension was recent. She cautions Zhao Lian Yun not to charge ahead and to leave the rest to the other Gu Immortals, then waves her hand to set the party off. Zhao Lian Yun now understands that the old woman is the Gu Immortal with the highest authority in Spirit Affinity House. ^{ch. 1237}

She personally takes charge of the master-disciple acknowledgement ceremony in which Duke Long takes Feng Jin Huang as his second disciple. She devotes all her effort to consulting ancient texts so that the ceremony follows the form popular in Duke Long’s era. She calls for the immortal music to be played. ^{ch. 1442}

She and the second supreme elder are inside a rank seven Immortal Gu House owned by Spirit Affinity House when it flies over carrying Feng Jin Huang. ^{ch. 2043}

She is called the current first supreme elder of Spirit Affinity House, and she leads two other Gu Immortals in a hurry to the Gu refinement room after Zhao Lian Yun sends the Gu Master guarding it away. In the pursuit of Fang Yuan she personally controls the Immortal Gu House and brings Feng Jin Huang to the battlefield, where all the dream realms Fang Yuan left behind are collected. Before she leaves, Qin Ding Ling secretly transmits to her an instruction to take good care of Feng Jin Huang. She is unable to do anything about the conflict between the sect’s two factions, which has become its greatest internal threat. She offers Feng Jin Huang her own mountain peak for future Gu refinement and pretends not to know that Zhao Lian Yun came to find trouble. She knows the sect has fallen into internal strife that, like a volcano, is bound to erupt soon, and she means to stall for as much time as she can. ^{ch. 2089}
