He squints and says he heard the call. ^{ch. 2180} He remembers meeting young Duke Long on joining Heavenly Court, greets him as a Dao Guardian despite seniority, and after reawakening finds Duke Long already dead, then flies forward saying it is their turn. ^{ch. 2181}

Against Dragon Soul Dark Castle and Red Heavenly Altar he aims both arms; dry, tough vines bind the Immortal Gu Houses and absorb their immortal essence storages. He and Duke Tong have rank eight cultivation and battle strength on par with Qin Ding Ling, without Duke Long’s pseudo venerable battle strength. ^{ch. 2181}

Zhan Bu Du breaks his killer move and punches his head apart; his phantom aperture flies toward the immortal graveyard. He later joins others blocking Fang Yuan again. ^{ch. 2191} At the Crazed Demon formation he is among those who walk forward to delay the assault. ^{ch. 2198}

He stands center among three rank eight Gu Immortals with Seven Fiendish Primeval Monarch and Golden Hooped Great Immortal, sent on Star Constellation Immortal Venerable’s orders to capture Fairy Zi Wei. ^{ch. 2270} His long eyebrows shake when he senses Spectral Soul Demon Venerable. He is first to use a killer move, then helps defend the Shadow Sect immortals against Spectral Soul rather than striking them first. ^{ch. 2270 ch. 2271}
