Present and Past Pavilion

When Fang Yuan rides an incomplete Immortal Gu House into the River of Time, a huge pavilion rides the waves toward him. It is open on all four sides, with a yellow grass cover, grey white rock pillars, and a folding screen inside; four rank seven Gu Immortals stand in it. Fang Yuan names it a pure time path Immortal Gu House that can inspect the past and present and is best at investigation, and he judges that Heavenly Court placed it so that his entry was noticed at once. The Central Continent Four Xunzi announce themselves as river guards from within the pavilion. ^{ch. 1628}

Fang Yuan treats Spirit Butterfly Valley’s Four Xunzi as the best candidates Heavenly Court has to control Present and Past Pavilion. Inside the house they raise waves, light pillars, and mist from the folding screen, but Fang Yuan’s River of Time methods force it back until the pavilion collapses into pieces and the Four Xunzi are kicked into the river. Eternal Yacht arrives too late to change that outcome. ^{ch. 1629}

A later River of Time watch again shows the same open pavilion form and names it the rank seven Immortal Gu House Present and Past Pavilion, with the Four Xunzi still stationed for investigation there. Fairy Zi Wei then sends Eternal Yacht to meet it for a pincer attack on Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 1805} Present and Past Pavilion is not specialized in defense; when Myriad Year Flying Warship collides with it, the pavilion shatters, and Fairy Zi Wei later groups it with Eternal Yacht as only rank seven yet outstanding among peers. ^{ch. 1806}

In a later River of Time advance, Present and Past Pavilion again rides the waves in its open form while Feng Jiu Ge stands inside and uses it to observe the lives of people in the past and present as he comprehends destiny song. Gu Liu Ru later assigns Feng Jiu Ge to lead Present and Past Pavilion in the river suppression lotus sealing formation around a stone lotus island. ^{ch. 1881}
