Triple Qi Retraction

Triple Qi Retraction is Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable's qi path immortal killer move. Its three styles extract human qi, earth qi, and heaven qi from a target.

Against Purple Mountain True Monarch, Duke Long conceals his aura, then shouts human qi retraction and waves; a huge amount of human qi leaves Purple Mountain True Monarch and enters Duke Long’s palm. Purple Mountain True Monarch recognizes the famous qi path killer move Triple Qi Retraction, created by Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable.^{ch. 1367}

The move is hard to learn: it is complex, uses many Gu worms interchangeably, and even wisdom path Gu Immortals struggle with it. Mistakes bring huge backlash on the user, and if the move succeeds but misses, it returns and harms the user. It targets the three qi that sustain an immortal aperture (heaven qi, earth qi, and human qi) and thus attacks that foundation. It combines consecutive and variation structure, so the user must be extremely skilled.^{ch. 1367}

The three styles are human qi retraction, earth qi retraction, and heaven qi retraction. Human qi retraction drains human qi and weakens the target; it does nothing to a target with no human qi, such as a desolate beast. Earth qi retraction drains earth qi from the immortal aperture and throws the three qi out of balance. Heaven qi retraction extracts heaven qi; if all three land, the immortal aperture breaks apart at once. After human qi retraction hits, Duke Long states that the next two styles cannot be dodged and can only be endured. He then lands earth qi retraction without knowing Purple Mountain True Monarch’s location.^{ch. 1367}

Aperture discard

Hit by the first two styles, Purple Mountain True Monarch takes out his immortal aperture rather than face heaven qi retraction and aperture collapse. Without the aperture he loses many dao marks and his battle strength falls sharply. Fang Yuan ranks the move with Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable’s formless hand and Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable’s reincarnation battlefield as an extraordinary venerable method. Because a countered cast would leave the user in horrible condition, Duke Long only used it after probing showed Purple Mountain True Monarch had no true counter.^{ch. 1368}

Heavenly Court form

After Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable’s backup and qi path true inheritance restore Duke Long, he activates what he calls the genuine Triple Qi Retraction. Human qi, earth qi, and heaven qi gather into him at once, becoming qi path dao marks and raising his power in every aspect, instead of only draining foes style by style. Fang Yuan judges that Duke Long is using the move on Heavenly Court itself, where joined immortal apertures supply three qi in vast amounts, and that outside Heavenly Court the move would lose that might.^{ch. 1950}

Unconscious continuation

When Duke Long loses consciousness in a crater, Triple Qi Retraction still draws endless qi into him. Fang Yuan concludes it is essentially a method left by Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable, so it can keep supporting Duke Long without his conscious activation.^{ch. 1959}

Core Immortal Gu

Qin Ding Ling groups rank eight Human Qi Immortal Gu with earth qi and heaven qi Immortal Gu as the cores of Triple Qi Retraction and as Heavenly Court treasures limited to members. Fang Yuan finds those three cannot be replaced: other qi path Immortal Gu would let him form a version, but its battle value would fall drastically.^{ch. 2025}
