Chapter 1950

As the horrified cries of Heavenly Court’s immortals fade, the beheaded Duke Long asks himself whether this is death and admits he is really tired, and that at times he really wanted to die. Yet he carries the expectations of his parents, master and companions, the duty to Heavenly Court and humanity, the blame for his disciple’s betrayal and the sin of exterminating his offspring. With the immortal graveyard destroyed, if Duke Long falls now, Feng Jiu Ge alone cannot stop the enemies destroying Heavenly Court. He decides not to fall, however exhausted, and to keep fighting. ^{ch. 1950}

A miracle follows: his dimmed pupils burst with light, his blood returns, and condensing qi brings his head back to his neck. An extremely profound aura carrying a true inheritance enters his body, and he completely heals within a few breaths. He recognizes Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable’s method and a qi path true inheritance. Heavenly Court’s morale rebounds, Fang Yuan calmly says there was a backup after all, and Wu Yong feels powerless. ^{ch. 1950}

Duke Long floats in the air and announces the genuine Triple Qi Retraction, and the three regions’ immortals slow their offenses in fright. Fang Yuan has seen its might. Duke Long once used it to defeat Purple Mountain True Monarch. Its three styles are human qi retraction, earth qi retraction and heaven qi retraction, and a hit by the first leaves the other two unblockable. Fang Yuan retreats cautiously, unsure whether it can extract the human qi of an immemorial sword dragon that seems to have shed human status. ^{ch. 1950}

Vast qi surges from all directions, and human, earth and heaven qi gather in Duke Long, turning into qi path dao marks that raise his power in every aspect. All three styles run at once, plundering a vast amount of qi. Duke Long flies to Fang Yuan and punches his head, knocking him into a deep pit and leaving reverse flow protection seal shallow and illusory. Myriad Year Flying Warship ambushes and cuts Duke Long, but he holds it off with one hand, pushes it back and throws it far away. Merged with Twelve Zodiac battle formation, it ranks among the top five Immortal Gu Houses in the world. Fang Yuan retreats from the battlefield around Heaven Overseeing Tower. Duke Long cannot chase, since Dragon Palace and three Immortal Gu Houses attack Feng Jiu Ge, destiny song weakens, and Di Zang Sheng, now free, charges Heaven Overseeing Tower again. ^{ch. 1950}

Duke Long appears on Di Zang Sheng’s head and presses it to the ground with qi breath mountain, though his surrounding qi falls sharply by thirty percent. Five Elements Grandmaster, Wu Yong and Zhang Yin strike him with three long range killer moves, but he lets them engulf him and still stands. He mocks them, and another triple qi retraction gathers vast qi from all corners of Heavenly Court within seconds. His aura grows from ten to twenty feet. With heavenly dragon’s last stand his body is several times the size of an ordinary human. One punch twists Di Zang Sheng’s head and rolls its enormous body away, destroying countless buildings of Heavenly Court. In the previous life Di Zang Sheng could match Duke Long, but now it is suppressed by his strength alone. ^{ch. 1950}

Fang Yuan deduces that every Gu Immortal who joined Heavenly Court contributed an immortal aperture holding three qi. Duke Long is therefore using the move on Heavenly Court itself, what could be called an infinite supply, and outside it the move would lose its might. So Duke Long must stay inside. Yet Fang Yuan sees this weakness is useless, since Heaven Overseeing Tower is inside Heavenly Court and he must destroy fate Gu. He cannot bypass Duke Long. ^{ch. 1950}
