Lead Soul Into Dream

Seven Star Child states that the higher Ying Wu Xie’s cultivation level, the more sophisticated Lead Soul Into Dream becomes, and that the move needs more Gu worms to grow stronger while its activation process becomes more complex. ^{ch. 1005}

Still at rank seven, Ying Wu Xie uses Lead Soul Into Dream on Fang Yuan inside Graceful Chaotic Duel Stage. Fang Yuan falls into a dream each time, but escapes with Unravel Dream and his dream path attainment, so the strike does not hold. Shadow Sect holds the move back from Heavenly Court rank eights at first because a rank seven version would not work on them and would give them time to study it. ^{ch. 1006}

After Ying Wu Xie advances to rank eight dream path, he can use the rank eight Lead Soul Into Dream. On the third attempt he sends Heaven Overseeing Tower Lord into a dream; that lord, a rank eight who has passed one myriad tribulation, can stay trapped only several minutes, and Ying Wu Xie can lead him into a dream again after he wakes. Other Heavenly Court immortals can still move Heaven Overseeing Tower while the lord sleeps. ^{ch. 1009}

Fighting beside immortal zombie Bo Qing while Spectral Soul resolves the myriad tribulation, Ying Wu Xie asks for a moment to make Fang Yuan sleep and activates the rank eight Lead Soul Into Dream on him. Fang Yuan cannot dodge and is dragged into the dream realm, where he meets Star Constellation Immortal Venerable again; his unravel dream is only rank six against a rank eight move, the difference is too vast, and he knows he has lost. The grand tribulation Earth Collapse then sucks the immortals into the ground while leaving Hei Lou Lan and Tai Bai Yun Sheng free, and Tai Bai Yun Sheng grabs his sleeping body and retreats. ^{ch. 1012}

Sixth Hair tells Fang Yuan that the Pure Dream Reality Seeker Physique causes Ying Wu Xie to keep losing memories, and that this is why Lead Soul Into Dream is the only immortal killer move he can use. ^{ch. 1075}

After the Battle of Yi Tian Mountain, Ying Wu Xie secretly reconstructs Lead Soul Into Dream, but even now he can only barely assemble it. That earlier battle is also where Fang Yuan was struck by the move, and the narration states he would have surely died there had heaven’s will not worked secretly. Used on Fang Yuan again, it repeatedly pulls him into a dream realm and back out without managing to keep him trapped there, and Ying Wu Xie says its effect will keep decreasing with time. Ying Wu Xie had meant to hold it for the moment Fang Yuan began a long activation, when even an instant in a dream realm would make that killer move fail and leave Fang Yuan a severe backlash, but Fang Yuan never began one and he had to use it early. The dream realms hold Fang Yuan to twenty to thirty percent of his battle strength, and their interference on him grows smaller as the fight goes on. ^{ch. 1260}

Chasing Ying Wu Xie in Northern Plains, Fang Yuan is struck by Lead Soul Into Dream again; the dream realm this time is unexpectedly deep, and even with unravel dream he cannot resolve it in one attempt, having to pass through every stage of the dream realm to escape. ^{ch. 1265}

During the fight for the giant dream realm, narration states that Lead Soul Into Dream is Fang Yuan’s greatest desire, a move he does not yet possess; paired with unravel dream and guts Gu, it would make him the world’s foremost dream realm explorer. ^{ch. 1354}

Newly advanced to a rank seven dream path Gu Immortal by way of a cocoon of light Fang Yuan helped him reach, Ying Wu Xie activates Lead Soul Into Dream on Duke Long, dragging him into a dream and cutting him off from the outside world. ^{ch. 1364}

Narration states that Ying Wu Xie, who possesses Lead Soul Into Dream, could erupt with battle strength that would stably occupy the number one position in strength, and that even Fang Yuan has to be apprehensive of him. It adds at once that such a person has no fighting spirit left, so nothing can be hoped from him even with the move in hand. ^{ch. 1376}
