Unravel Dream is Fang Yuan's dream path immortal killer move. It pairs Unravel Mystery Immortal Gu with dream path mortal Gu to enter dream realms and unravel them.
In Hu Immortal blessed land, after half a month refining enough dream path mortal Gu, Fang Yuan activates them in his mind as a Gu formation, feeds green grape immortal essence into Unravel Mystery Immortal Gu, and converts its light through that formation into green-purple light in his pupils. ch. 773
Limits when saving Hei Lou Lan
Familial emotion left by Su Xian Er on Hei Lou Lan reduces the move’s power while she is deep in the dream, cutting Fang Yuan’s confidence from about seventy to eighty percent down to about twenty to thirty percent because he still has limited dream path mortal Gu. Failure damages his soul heavily while leaving Hei Lou Lan, as dream owner, unhurt inside the dream; each use still weakens the dream realm for the next attempt. ch. 773
Effect inside the dream
Inside the dream, “Unravel” erases dream figures and attacks: a Hei tribe Gu Master fades and vanishes, and later a dark vortex plus two Gu Masters vanish within a few breaths under green-purple light. It cannot affect Hei Lou Lan herself while she remains the dreaming owner. After dozens of rounds, with many failures, Fang Yuan kills Hei Cheng before she can, then across further cycles rouses her awareness that she is dreaming; together they break the dream and escape, leaving Fang Yuan’s soul heavily injured. ch. 774
Place among dream methods
He judges that dream path exploration is still at its start for every super force, that dream path Immortal Gu are extremely rare, and that holding a dream path immortal killer move without a dream path Immortal Gu already puts him far ahead of those forces. Each use of Unravel Dream gives him a large advantage; after unraveling Hei Lou Lan’s dream he gains much of her strength path understanding. He contrasts it with Western Desert Tang clan’s immortal killer move Steal Dream, which could move a dream realm out of a grotto-heaven to devour at leisure. ch. 776
Escape from Lead Soul Into Dream
When Shadow Sect’s Ying Wu Xie uses his newly attained rank seven killer move Lead Soul Into Dream against him, Unravel Dream is only rank six and should not suffice by common sense, but the trapping dream belongs to Star Constellation Immortal Venerable and its difficulty is very low. Because Fang Yuan holds many dream path mortal Gu, he can expend them a huge number of times to use Unravel Dream, so he escapes the dream again each time Ying Wu Xie sends him back into it. ch. 1006
Fails against a second, rank eight Lead Soul Into Dream
When Ying Wu Xie activates a rank eight Lead Soul Into Dream against him, Fang Yuan repeatedly activates Unravel Dream, but at only rank six it cannot close a gap that wide, and he fails to unravel the dream realm. ch. 1012
Fails against Sea Calming Lord’s dream
Trying repeatedly to unravel the dream realm of water path great expert Sea Calming Lord, Unravel Dream has no effect and leaves the dream unmoved. Fang Yuan judges that the dream realm is most likely too powerful, since Unravel Dream draws on only a rank six core Immortal Gu, it cannot unravel this dream. ch. 1247
Unravel Dream in Tu Shi Cheng’s dream realm
Trying to escape the third stage of Tu Shi Cheng’s formation path dream realm, in a river, Fang Yuan activates Unravel Dream twice, learning the first three steps to build the needed Gu formation on the first use and the fourth through sixth steps on the second; a whirlpool swallows him as he is about to activate it a third time. ch. 1326 Using Unravel Dream, Fang Yuan goes on to pass through the third, fourth and fifth stages of this dream realm, raising his formation path attainment past master to quasi-grandmaster. ch. 1327
Restricted but not useless in Thieving Heaven’s dream realm
Inside Thieving Heaven’s dream realm, this trump card that has helped Fang Yuan countless times is otherwise completely restricted. It still has one narrow use there: activated beside the cool air tunnel the cool wind Gu retreat into, it brings two of them out for him to catch and refine. ch. 1492
