Su Xian is the Northern Plains legend of Su Xian's night elopement, named as Hei Cheng's wife Su Xian Er and mother of Hei Lou Lan.
Hei Cheng is named the male lead in Su Xian’s night elopement, and Su Xian Er is named as his wife. Over two hundred years earlier she is a concubine’s daughter in Su tribe who pours wine for him, then rides out at night as a rank one Gu Master to save him after Su tribe poisons and hunts him. He swears she will be his only wife. The pair later become Gu Immortals, and the night elopement spreads across Northern Plains as a story that urges women to chase love. Hei Bai also names Hei Lou Lan as Su Xian Er’s child, and says she fell seriously ill giving birth, then died in an earthly calamity years later. ch. 528 Later talk still treats that night elopement story as something that pierced deep into people’s hearts. ch. 529
