Fang Yuan against Hei Cheng, third battle

Worn down from days spent fighting off Hei tribe’s own pursuers, Hei Cheng is found sprawled by a stream without the strength to turn over, and Hei Lou Lan reaches him first. Fairy Li Shan’s voice comes on the wind, calling the spot a nameless location and a good place for him to die, while Fang Yuan is already concealed nearby. Hei Lou Lan commits a mortal killer move punch amplified by her Great Strength True Martial Physique’s dao marks to a blow that would kill him outright were it to land; Fairy Li Shan commits her battlefield killer move pear orchard; Fang Yuan commits a strength path phantom army, concealed from his own allies, to block Hei Cheng’s escape routes, and he judges he can hold back only ten or twenty percent of his own strength, which is the limit of what he can conceal from Fairy Li Shan and Hei Lou Lan. Together the three corner and heavily suppress Hei Cheng, who is close to losing, when Hei tribe’s four supreme elders arrive inside the ancient battle formation Green City Rampage, seize him, call this their own tribe’s internal matter, and demand Hei Lou Lan surrender. A fire bird crashes into the green giant’s chest without warning, and the four elders name the attacker in shock: Blazing Heaven Demoness. ^{ch. 941}

Fairy Li Shan calls out to Blazing Heaven Demoness as “big sister,” the two needing no more words between them, and Blazing Heaven Demoness turns out to be family to both her and Hei Lou Lan, an elder aunt standing alongside Fairy Li Shan’s own place as Hei Lou Lan’s little aunt. Blazing Heaven Demoness commits a combo of angry bird and fire prison, wrapping the green giant in flame it cannot break free of; Fairy Li Shan commits her trump card orchard garden in mountain, drawn from the power of Miniscule Mountain, raising a chain of mountains over more than a thousand li that closes around the giant like a bowl. Between them the two moves bring the ancient battle formation, ranked in its age as third strongest in the world and crewed by four rank seven Gu Immortals, briefly under control despite its rank eight strength. Hei tribe’s four elders answer with dark ember, a dark path and fire path dual killer move that burns the encircling vines to ash. ^{ch. 942}

A combo of angry bird and phoenix feather triple wing blade severs the green giant’s arm; cut off from the battle formation’s immortal essence it vanishes, and Hei Cheng, held inside it, falls free, caught by Fairy Li Shan’s vines and delivered into her hands. Hei tribe’s four elders answer with their first supreme elder’s signature move, nine dragon body protection, and break loose of the mountain’s grip. Blazing Heaven Demoness gathers Fairy Li Shan, Hei Lou Lan, Fang Yuan and the bound Hei Cheng in a chain of fire and outruns the pursuit; word reaching the four elders that their own base has been raided while they gave chase ends it, and they turn back rather than follow. ^{ch. 943}

Safe and bound, Hei Cheng begs for his life, offering every secret Hei tribe holds, including the rank eight ancestor Hei Fan’s time path inheritance. Hei Lou Lan asks him only why he could take the life of a mother who loved him so completely; he answers that he knew she loved him, but was afraid of dying. Her mother Su Xian Er’s familial emotion, carried inside Hei Lou Lan since before her death, asks Hei Lou Lan to let him go and warns that revenge leads to destruction rather than salvation; Hei Lou Lan answers that she has her own resolution, and stomps Hei Cheng’s head in, killing him. ^{ch. 943} Blazing Heaven Demoness retrieves his immortal aperture with a fire path immortal killer move drawn from Immortal Kong Jue’s inheritance, and passes it to Hei Lou Lan as a fire pearl good for seven days before it fuses into an ordinary blessed land, its Gu worms, mortal and immortal alike, already destroyed. ^{ch. 944}
