Chapter 1903

In regret crying sea, voices of regret shake the immortals’ emotions while Fang Yuan studies the grand formation of Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable on the sea floor. In his previous life the formation needed at least dozens of years to comprehend, but now he needs about eight to gain complete understanding, because his earth path has reached grandmaster attainment. He notes that regret Gu is not acting. That is no surprise, since he destroyed the stone lotus island in advance and the venerable method on regret Gu cannot locate it without the island. Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable had borrowed regret Gu through that island and wanted to snatch Red Lotus’ inheritor, Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 1903}

In the previous life Fang Yuan chose the island and regret Gu transported him away, but this time he took everything from it beforehand to inherit the Paradise Earth true inheritance. Regret Gu does not move, so he judges that he must act himself. After several hours he proposes setting up supplementary formations outside to kill the demonic immortal inside, since the old formation only suppresses and seals. Releasing the demonic immortal would be extremely dangerous, as he has lived more than a hundred thousand years, longer than any venerable. Fang Yuan explains that the formation extends lifespan through constant hibernation, and the group agrees. ^{ch. 1903}

The plan needs a Gu Immortal at each formation core, at least eight in all. Five are present counting Fang Yuan, and even with Zeng Luo Zi and Tu Tou Tuo one is still missing. Apart from Shen clan’s Gu Immortals, only Ren Xiu Ping and Tong Hua remain. None suits Miao Ming Shen’s group: Shen clan suppressed them, Ren Xiu Ping is their enemy and Tong Hua a traitor. Miao Ming Shen says grudges can wait until after they leave and everyone, Shen clan included, can be invited, leaving the decision to Fang Yuan. Fang Yuan praises him as truly magnanimous and says he will first set up supplementary formations. ^{ch. 1903}

On Fang Yuan’s behalf, Miao Ming Shen writes invitations to his friends Tu Tou Tuo and Zeng Luo Zi, and to Ren Xiu Ping, Tong Hua and Shen clan. The letters change nothing, since Fang Yuan was confident of recruiting them anyway, and Miao Ming Shen, knowing he could be replaced, relented rather than object. Tu Tou Tuo and Zeng Luo Zi join very smoothly, with deep excitement. Tong Hua hesitates and asks for time to think. Ren Xiu Ping agrees at once, faster than the other two, and adds the slightly surprising news that Shen clan’s Gu Immortals want to join, though none would defect without Shen Cong Sheng. ^{ch. 1903}

Fang Yuan therefore meets Shen Cong Sheng, who is warm and treats rank seven Chu Ying as a rank eight equal. Shen Cong Sheng says Heavenly Court gave him important information in exchange for Gu Yue Fang Zheng, whom he captured in the battle between Duke Long and Qi Sea Ancestor. He claims Dragon Whale Paradise holds a rank eight response Immortal Gu, extremely important to Shen clan, that he has sought for many years. He asks Chu Ying to pass it on the Merit Obelisk reward list and to capture it if met in a mission, for a huge reward. Fang Yuan’s expression changes as he names Response Gu, one of the top ten of the List of Mystical Gu, whose voice enslaves anyone who responds. At rank eight it can enslave rank eight Gu Immortals. He asks for a reward, since no agreement can be set in the paradise. ^{ch. 1903}

Shen Cong Sheng offers the reputation of Shen clan, with the whole process recorded, and hands over a set of immortal materials as a portion of sincerity. Fang Yuan is a little excited, because with regret Gu in front of him he really needs resources to advance his Immortal Gu, and these solve that, so he accepts them. Shen Cong Sheng adds that response Gu might be in the super immortal formation, and that Shen clan Gu Immortals can lend a hand even if it is not. Fang Yuan ponders and accepts their help. ^{ch. 1903}
