Immortal tribulation tempering aperture is Lang Ya land spirit's refinement path immortal killer move. It treats the immortal aperture as a refinement target and steers which calamities and tribulations temper it.
At Lang Ya blessed land, Lang Ya land spirit names his main body as the creator: after mastering the hairy man heaven and earth refinement style and drawing on Old Immortal Kong Jue’s true inheritance, that main body conceptualized the immortal killer move immortal tribulation tempering aperture. It is a refinement path killer move formed from several Immortal Gu and more than a hundred thousand mortal Gu. The move uses a blessed land or grotto-heaven as the refinement target, connects the immortal aperture to the five regions outside, influences the calamity or tribulation, and uses that tribulation to temper the aperture itself. By restricting tribulation types, Lang Ya blessed land near Crescent Lake most often faced water path and refinement path calamities, then gained matching dao marks; over long ages that water path accumulation turned land into seas and continents. The move only influences calamities and tribulations and can fail, so fire path and lightning path tribulations still occurred among Lang Ya’s history. Fang Yuan links the concept to Spectral Soul Demon Venerable’s myriad tribulation method for refining sovereign immortal fetus Gu and suspects Shadow Sect spies let that method originate here. Spectral Soul’s method does derive from immortal tribulation tempering aperture, but is more refined: it uses wisdom path to deduce tribulation types before preparing, instead of only influencing calamities with a chance of failure. ch. 1051
Icy plain cast
In the northern icy plain, Fang Yuan activates Immortal Tribulation Tempering Aperture: Immortal Gu rise, lights weave, and a huge blue image engulfs his immortal aperture and a wide area of the icy plain outside. Core Immortal Gu are mostly rank seven, so green grape immortal essence drains rapidly; completing the move costs about sixty percent of his immortal essence that time, more than Lang Ya land spirit’s quoted figure, because expenditure scales with the immortal aperture world. ch. 1053 Domination Immortal Chu Du senses Fang Yuan undergoing tribulation nearby in the northern icy plain; Fang Yuan’s immortal tribulation tempering aperture, obtained from land spirit, is a huge attraction to him, and he attacks to interrogate the method for drawing out Reckless Savage’s true meaning. ch. 1057
Tribulation recast
On a later tribulation Fang Yuan uses the move again to weaken earthly calamity power and to draw out Reckless Savage’s true meaning for transformation path cultivation. He modifies the move with slight tweaks so more of its mortal Gu are his own and he relies less on borrowing from Lang Ya land spirit. ch. 1096
