Close Door Gu

He later states that he has already refined the key to enter the inheritance: open door Gu and close door Gu. ^{ch. 731} He still holds both when Hei Lou Lan presses him to retrieve Luo Po Valley, and he shows them openly because they will be used anyway. ^{ch. 952} At the valley, under Hei Lou Lan and Fairy Li Shan’s gaze, he uses both Gu and gets no response. The text still calls open door Gu and close door Gu inheritances of Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable, and at that moment Gu formations occupy the valley. ^{ch. 953}

After open door Gu opens an entrance of light into that space, Fang Yuan activates close door Gu and the shrinking entrance disappears. He then uses open door Gu again to form a new entrance, steps through it, and returns to Luo Po Valley, treating that cycle as proof that the information about both Gu is true. While clearing winds of assimilation inside, he repeatedly uses open door Gu and close door Gu to keep an exit near him. When Feng Jiu Ge flees through the entrance of light, Fang Yuan’s first action is to activate close door Gu and shut it. ^{ch. 991} He later notes that clues for open door Gu and close door Gu were easy to obtain because Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable spread them widely for otherworldly demons. ^{ch. 992}
