Shadow Sect Immortal Gu House fielded as a dark old castle at Yi Tian Mountain.
At Yi Tian Mountain, after Sacred Feather City and an iron fortress block Fang Yuan’s Graceful Chaotic Duel Stage, a third and fourth Immortal Gu House appear. One is filled with blood-red light in the shape of a chariot. The other is dark and eerie, an old castle with grey tiles and white walls. The four houses trap Graceful Chaotic Duel Stage so Fang Yuan cannot gather force to leave the ten extreme immortal zombie lifeless formation. ch. 1004
Heaven Overseeing Tower Lord later names Nightmare Castle among seven Shadow Sect Immortal Gu Houses forced onto the field: Sacred Feather City, Unbreakable Iron Fortress, Blood River Chariot, Nightmare Castle, Green Wave Pavilion, Weaving Cocoon Manor, and Golden Altar. ch. 1004

House destruction
When Heaven Overseeing Tower unleashes another unavoidable fate attack, Fang Yuan sees Unbreakable Iron Fortress, Blood River Chariot, and Nightmare Castle broken apart into fragments falling from the sky. The other six Immortal Gu Houses are destroyed; Shadow Sect Gu Immortals use space path methods to gather in Sacred Feather City as their last house. ch. 1005

After Shadow Sect is beaten down and Fang Yuan takes leadership, the remaining resources include twelve Immortal Gu House construction plans. Nightmare Castle is named in that list with Green Wave Pavilion, Golden Altar, Weaving Cocoon Manor, Sacred Feather City, and others. ch. 1380

When Fang Yuan builds an incomplete Immortal Gu House for joint battle with his subordinates, he takes reference from Nightmare Castle among many other Immortal Gu Houses, while the skeleton of the design is based on Graceful Chaotic Duel Stage. ch. 1628
Modified descendants
Inside Crazed Demon Cave, Lady White Rabbit fields seven rank eight Immortal Gu Houses that Fang Yuan had assembled for his subordinates. Those houses are modified on the basis of Nightmare Castle and other Immortal Gu Houses, treated as partial innovations rather than wholly new designs. ch. 2178
