During the Hu Immortal blessed land climb on Tian Ti mountain, outside Gu Immortals notice Fang Zheng recover past his limit after the spirit incubating flea assists him, and they ask whether one’s own way Gu was used so the flea still works. Those watchers already know the rank six copy on He Feng Yang of Immortal Crane Sect. When the uses run out, the expenditure Gu vanishes into thin air. Other Gu Immortals at the scene have their own rank six Gu but lack this one, so they cannot give the same help. When Immortal Crane Sect puts He Feng Yang in charge of seizing Hu Immortal blessed land, the supreme grand elder tells him to hand over one’s own way Gu, because Feng Jiu Ge had asked for an Immortal Gu and He Feng Yang is the person settling the matter. A letter tells He Feng Yang that Feng Jiu Ge is lending one’s own way Immortal Gu and has raised that same worm to rank seven. One’s own way Immortal Gu at rank six is a consumable that can be used only thrice; the rank seven copy has no such limit and can be used as many times as needed, but it expends much more immortal essence. Immortal Crane Sect elders recall that He Feng Yang’s earlier copy had only one use left, and they treat Feng Jiu Ge’s earlier request for the Gu as matching this raise. When He Feng Yang and Fairy Cang Yu enter Hu Immortal blessed land, heavenly power first seals their mortal Gu, then their bodies shine with orange and yellow light. That light is the rank seven one’s own way Immortal Gu preventing mortal Gu from being suppressed so they can activate normally. ch. 700
