Chapter 700

Lightning strikes at Fairy Cang Yu. She reasons Immortal Crane Sect has won its scheme, so the rules bar the other nine sects from interfering. He Feng Yang stops her hand, opens the passage into Hu Immortal blessed land, and the bolt passes through untouched. She names it an earthly calamity, blue charm lightning shadow. ^{ch. 700}

He Feng Yang explains that discarding close to a quarter of the blessed land sent the calamity out with it, and it has hidden on Tian Ti mountain since. Cang Yu judges the calamity’s strength good, about mid rank six. ^{ch. 700}

Once inside, heavenly power seals their mortal Gu, but their one’s own way Immortal Gu shields them, letting both use mortal Gu freely. Cang Yu senses they stand in the west. The calamity is already at the center, heading for Dang Hun Mountain. ^{ch. 700}

He Feng Yang calls Dang Hun Mountain the blessed land’s safest place. The calamity’s first target is the blessed land’s owner, and it caught Hu Immortal off guard and killed her. He concludes Fang Yuan is hiding inside Dang Hun Mountain. He activates expand space Immortal Gu again for force closure, sealing the passage behind them. ^{ch. 700}

Outside on Tian Ti mountain, the other nine sects trade news by divine sense. Bi Weng judges Immortal Crane Sect’s odds high, but Han Cai Xin, speaking for Spirit Butterfly Valley, disagrees: a mortal could not have refined Fixed Immortal Travel or known the blessed land’s scenery without a hidden mastermind behind him. Guan Cao Ze, speaking for Myriad Dragon Dock, urges them to leave the ownership question to another day, and Poison Count Lu Xu mocks him for it. They agree on a rule: a contest among the nine decides who takes the blessed land if Immortal Crane Sect fails, and who gets priority to bargain for guts Gu if it succeeds. ^{ch. 700}

Meanwhile He Feng Yang and Cang Yu fly toward Dang Hun Mountain, passing a blood pool so huge it could be a blood lake. Cang Yu sneers at another blood path scoundrel, and He Feng Yang condemns blood path cultivators, blaming Blood Sea Ancestor for much of the world’s harm. He destroys the pool with a thrown jade lightning ball. ^{ch. 700}

They meet no resistance the rest of the way. Cang Yu remarks the land is nearly desolate, since they have not seen a single fox group. He Feng Yang answers that rockmen must have replaced them, since Fang Yuan does not realize Hu Immortal’s enslavement path suited the land better to foxes. When she wonders who would own it, he answers that the recovered land becomes the sect’s public blessed land, its limited managing right still lucrative with Dang Hun Mountain at the center. ^{ch. 700}

At Dang Hun Mountain, blue charm lightning shadow shrieks and charges the peak. The mountain’s vibrations throw it back each time, striking its one weakness, its soul. He Feng Yang shouts that the mountain only holds because it carries no Gu worms, and cannot block two Gu Immortals even at its limit. ^{ch. 700}

Fang Yuan walks out onto the peak. He Feng Yang’s heart tightens, then eases, since a rank six immortal zombie cannot produce immortal essence and usually fights below an ordinary Gu Immortal. Fang Yuan asks if they fear he will destroy Dang Hun Mountain rather than yield it. He Feng Yang asks if this is truly Fang Yuan, unable to believe he became an immortal zombie in only a year. ^{ch. 700}

Cang Yu warns they came prepared and can strip the mountain’s pressure to nothing so the lightning alone kills him. Fang Yuan sighs, and she presses the chance, offering to forget the past and take him as a disciple if he yields ownership. Fang Yuan reminds them the sect once promised him a position as elder. He Feng Yang answers coldly that times have changed. ^{ch. 700}

Fang Yuan smirks and says he will take a good look at the circumstances, and Immortal Gu auras burst from his body. Cang Yu’s face changes, and He Feng Yang cannot identify the Gu but cannot hide his greed at their aura. Three more figures appear around Fang Yuan. They are Hei Lou Lan, Tai Bai Yun Sheng and Fairy Li Shan, two rank six and one rank seven, each giving off an Immortal Gu aura. ^{ch. 700}

Eight desolate beasts fly from Dang Hun Mountain into eight directions, among them an ice spike divine ape, a phoenix feather lava crocodile, a golden sand dark stallion and an azure dragon vine. He Feng Yang shouts that this is a trap. Cang Yu falls silent, feeling outnumbered. Even blue charm lightning shadow stops its attack.
