Wang Clan

About three hundred years before news of the Three Kings inheritance spreads through Southern Border, Wu clan exterminates Wang clan, its mortal enemy, absorbing its remnant forces and rising into a large clan that owns three mountains. The attack misses three children: an eight year old boy who becomes King Quan, a five year old boy who becomes King Bao, and a six year old girl who becomes King Xin. Wu clan sends a lazy assassin to finish them, and he fakes their deaths rather than complete the task, unintentionally sparing them. ^{ch. 324}

The three survive on their own, grow close through hardship, and are eventually thrown into an ancient inheritance ground left by a rank six Gu Immortal, where each inherits a portion of the legacy and cultivates for nearly a hundred years until all three reach rank five. They then return and wipe out Wu clan in three days: King Quan’s hound army engulfs Wu clan’s village, King Xin kills the higher-ups and leaves them leaderless, and King Bao’s violent attacks shatter the mountain rock. ^{ch. 324}

After their revenge, the three kings choose not to rebuild Wang clan, reasoning that a clan, however strong, could not defend against true experts, and instead live in seclusion until their inheritance ground reopens generations later. ^{ch. 324}
