In Heavenly Court, among white jade halls under a silver sky, one pitch black hall stands out. Three large words are carved on its door plaque: Soul Suppression Hall. The aura from the hall marks it as a rank eight Immortal Gu House. At its center are five enormous pillars, with purple-gold chains linked around scarlet pillars into a giant web. Fairy Zi Wei activates the house so Gu-worm auras surge, the five pillars radiate light and heat, and the chain web shines while information is drawn along the chains into the hall. ch. 1438

Remnant soul prisoner
A remnant soul is shackled at the center of the purple-gold chain web. It is Spectral Soul Demon Venerable’s main body. Fairy Zi Wei presses him to admit wrongdoing and repent; he stays silent while she runs soul search through Soul Suppression Hall and reads only superficial scenes from his life. She judges that even a trace of his soul can resist the search, and that the hall can keep extracting information slowly if he will not cooperate. Heavenly Court then announces to the five regions that Spectral Soul Demon Venerable’s remnant soul was captured and his scheme ruined. ch. 1438
Memory extraction
Fairy Zi Wei carries Dang Hun Mountain into Soul Suppression Hall, named here as the rank eight Immortal Gu House that imprisoned Spectral Soul Demon Venerable. She activates a move through the hall so light covers the mountain and Spectral Soul, drawing out memories tied to Dang Hun Mountain despite his resistance. ch. 1549
Hall destruction
After Dang Hun Mountain self-detonates from inside the hall, Soul Suppression Hall is completely gone. The explosion left the house no time to respond, destroyed it, and gave Spectral Soul temporary freedom, ending the hall’s soul-search ability. ch. 1553
