City Well

This is the third secluded domain of heaven and earth Fang Yuan has encountered, after Dang Hun Mountain and Luo Po Valley. Ying Wu Xie set it as a trap. Fang Yuan instead uses it to kill a group of Eastern Sea Gu Immortals: when he stands outside the well and uses an immortal killer move, the power is amplified by tens or hundreds of times inside, and immortal essence expenditure rises by the same proportion. ^{ch. 1158}

An uninformed person who enters the bottom is trapped. Once they realize the place is City Well, they can leave. In the legend, a miniman climbs out after realizing his own insignificance. Ying Wu Xie therefore uses the well to stall Fang Yuan rather than to kill him. Fang Yuan wants the secluded domain for developing his immortal aperture. Pulling mountain Immortal Gu only makes the well shake slightly, because City Well is not a mountain even though it sits on the ground and needs earth qi. Strength path giant hand shrinks and depletes when it nears the well. ^{ch. 1158}

The well sits in the middle of an island inside a bubble that also holds a sea. Ying Wu Xie’s arrangement sends outsiders to the bottom. The bubble was not originally in that current; Ying Wu Xie moved it there. After the deaths, heaven and earth qi burst out and blessed lands form one by one from the fallen Gu Immortals’ immortal apertures. Fang Yuan enters those blessed lands and takes resources from the ones without land spirits. ^{ch. 1158}

Fang Yuan leaves City Well in the turbulent flow sea area. He cannot relocate it into the sovereign immortal aperture on that trip, even though the well is badly damaged. According to The Legends of Ren Zu, Miniscule Mountain is a part of City Well. The well is a special environment isolated from the outside world, suited to raising humans or variant humans. Reproduction and deaths of variant humans inside it would nourish and elevate the well itself. ^{ch. 1159}

After leaving Northern Plains, Fang Yuan goes to the turbulent flow sea area. The chaotic currents waste multiple days, but he gets into City Well. Many immortal apertures are inside. He uses the upper extreme heavenly eagle to enter and annex a portion of the blessed lands, progressing by two calamities and tribulations. The remaining immortal apertures are mostly water path, and his water path attainment is only ordinary. ^{ch. 1211}

A Legends of Ren Zu excerpt, chapter four section twenty-six, has Ren Zu’s daughter Boundless Forest Samsara raise her head after seeing City Well and realize that the minimen down there see only the sky the well frames, the way she sees only the sky above Ordinary Abyss. A miniman whose home is that well tells her that his own wings are flimsy and can carry him only a short distance, and that he also used a ladder when he left City Well. ^{ch. 1276}

Pulling mountain Immortal Gu alone cannot move City Well, so Fang Yuan uses the light of wisdom to create a new immortal killer move cored on pulling mountain Immortal Gu, and after long effort succeeds in moving City Well into his sovereign immortal aperture. ^{ch. 1488}

Fang Yuan places City Well in Mini Central Continent, his fourth secluded domain of heaven and earth after Dang Hun Mountain, Luo Po Valley, and Reverse Flow River, and it still holds the blessed lands of the Gu Immortals he killed with it. ^{ch. 1489} His sovereign immortal aperture comes to hold City Well together with Reverse Flow River and Luo Po Valley, and every three days he must feed it large amounts of external heaven and earth qi to replenish its expenditure. ^{ch. 1495}
