Human Sea

In that previous life, Southern Border’s Chai clan later gained comprehension from Human Sea and began creating a similar artificial secluded domain, Human Mountain. Wisdom path Gu Immortals of that time deduced that fusing Human Sea and Human Mountain could form an actual secluded domain of heaven and earth. Wu Shuai treats Human Mountain and Sea as too far away, but judges Human Sea alone useful against the heaven path restriction on Fang Yuan’s main body. ^{ch. 1983}

After taking Fire Plain grotto-heaven, Fang Yuan orders over a hundred million purebred humans killed to construct Human Sea. Their bones, flesh, intestines, and souls become Gu materials, and their human qi is taken by Human Sea. The text calls this incomplete artificial secluded domain of heaven and earth the one Fang Yuan obtained from Xia clan. ^{ch. 2108}

Fang Yuan lists incomplete Human Sea among the secluded domains he has gathered, with Dang Hun Mountain, Luo Po Valley, Reverse Flow River, City Well, Hu Land, incomplete Refinement Sea, and Qian Kun Crystal Wall. He recalls that Wu Shuai led the variant human alliance to loot the incomplete Human Sea from Eastern Sea’s Xia clan, and that among those domains he pays the most attention to incomplete Human Sea for human path defense after the fate war. The Fire Plain slaughter is not enough; Human Sea remains some distance from completion, and he refuses to sacrifice humans inside allied grotto-heavens for it. ^{ch. 2136}

After killing many mortals raised by Chai clan, Human Sea is complete, while Human Mountain has yet to form. ^{ch. 2142}

Before Fang Yuan enters Crazed Demon Cave, Human Sea has already been completed through the slaughter of countless humans. In the previous five hundred year life, Xia clan Gu Immortals who died outside could revive from Human Sea, keeping cultivation level and the immortal aperture itself while losing Immortal Gu and aperture accumulations. With fate Gu fully destroyed rather than only damaged, Human Sea can revive Gu Immortals with much less difficulty. ^{ch. 2168}

The Human Sea revival method is in essence refining the human body and soul with Gu. Fang Yuan uses that insight toward Unifying Human and Gu, and subordinates note that Gu Immortals who died outside, including Shi Zong, are revived through Human Sea, though they lose cultivation and must start over when Fang Yuan keeps them as mortals. ^{ch. 2168}
