Shi Zong

At Earth Mother Altar under the icy plain, four incense sticks were lit. During the drum sounds he took a large step ahead and spoke in a loud voice: he, Gu Immortal Shi Zong of the rockman tribe, was willing to join the four races alliance, and from that day the four races would be united and share fortune and woe together. He activated his immortal essence. The curling smoke surged toward him, coiled around him for a dozen breaths, and merged completely into his body, adding information path dao marks by an earth path method. ^{ch. 1146}

The rockman tribe had greater status than the snowmen under the northern icy plain. At alliance meetings he usually was the first to speak, instead of the snowman Gu Immortals. ^{ch. 1149}

During a territorial dispute that had already run six days and six nights, he spoke loudly that Moli Region belonged to his rockman tribe and had been their territory since four hundred years ago. Bing Yuan said a senior of her tribe had won that land as a wager against him. He waved his hand rapidly and called that a joke. When she said an agreement had been set, he asked where the agreement was now. He had used information path methods to get rid of the agreement, then denied the bet. The snowmen lost the negotiation, and the rockmen gained control of Moli Region. ^{ch. 1459}

At Fang Yuan and Xue Er’s engagement ceremony he spoke in a grim tone toward Bing Yuan, calling her Elder Bing Yuan and saying he was truly impressed. She pretended not to notice the mocking tone. The rockman Gu Immortals had stiff expressions: the snowman tribe gaining a rank eight battle strength through that engagement was a nightmare for the neighbors who had suppressed them. ^{ch. 1472}

After Fang Yuan’s scheme, only four variant human Gu Immortals remained: Bing Yuan, Shi Zong, Shi Shi Cheng, and Mo Qi Yi. Fang Yuan gave them three days to decide whether to join Lang Ya Sect. Bing Yuan agreed first. The other three submitted after her and became members of Lang Ya Sect. ^{ch. 1765}

After Fang Yuan plundered captured Southern Border Gu Immortals, he was still first supreme elder of the rockman tribe. He sighed deeply to himself that plundering and killing brought the most profits. ^{ch. 1790}

In the fight at Fire Plain grotto-heaven he directed the rockman Gu Immortals. They unleashed a large number of falling meteors together and caused huge losses to the enemies. ^{ch. 2107}

At the base of Fire Bird Mountain he and Shi Shi Cheng, with other rockman Gu Immortals, controlled an immortal Gu formation that calmed the shaking volcano. He said Fang Yuan’s annexations had increased fire path dao marks until the volcano almost erupted, that someone would have to stay and preside over the formation, and that they must modify the mountain rather than only suppress it. Fire path was not the specialty of the rockmen, so they would send a request to Star Collection City. ^{ch. 2127}

He was first supreme elder of Northern Plains’ rockman tribe, rank seven, and about to face his third grand tribulation. Earthly calamities and heavenly tribulations were not big issues to him. The previous two grand tribulations had almost destroyed his confidence. He studied Fang Yuan’s exchange list for a long time, found no method to delay calamities and tribulations, and accepted the first task on the mission board. Fang Yuan’s time path clone stuffed a large number of earth path immortal materials into his immortal aperture. When the tribulation came, Fang Yuan let him out in Eastern Sea. He had used Gu worms to record a complete video of the tribulation, and after Fang Yuan ordered him to publicize the truth he did not hide that he had gained no new dao marks. Over the next days he used the contribution points to exchange for two rank seven earth path Immortal Gu and three earth path killer moves. Other Gu Immortals later said he had been thriving, his strength had surged, and he could take on more difficult tasks. ^{ch. 2134}

He went to Human Smoke Mountain with Bing Yuan and Golden Fur Immortal Monarch as rockman, snowman, and hairy man, all at rank eight. When Chai Gan asked what Fang Yuan wanted the mortals for, he sneered that they would kill them all. ^{ch. 2137} When a Chai clan immortal cursed Fang Yuan, he shouted that they dared to curse his master and that Chai clan was asking for extermination. Bing Yuan stopped the fight. She was the last of the three to advance to rank eight. He and Golden Fur Immortal Monarch accepted her leadership because she was Xue Er’s grandmother. He snorted and restrained his aura. ^{ch. 2138} After the trade he laughed that Fang Yuan’s bottom line had been five rank eight Immortal Gu and they had completed the mission with three. He and Golden Fur Immortal Monarch looked at each other when Bing Yuan mentioned Xue Er again, nauseated and envious. He asked why Fang Yuan still paid such a price to trade. He heaved a sigh that if he had Fang Yuan’s status and strength he would run wild. He also nodded and said that in the history of humanity, besides Ren Zu, he only respected Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 2139}

After Ice Crystal Immortal Monarch’s group killed most of a Green Lotus force and only three rank eights escaped, he sighed in pity that they had actually run away and were a disgrace to all rank eights. ^{ch. 2158}

Rock monkey Bu Tian Kong vanished and teleported behind him instead of Bing Zhuo. He defended himself, but his defensive killer move was quickly broken through. Bu Tian Kong’s fist pierced his chest and protruded from his back, then a killer move made him explode and shatter into pieces. He and Bing Zhuo were rank eight. Bu Tian Kong, also rank eight, killed him while going up against two opponents. ^{ch. 2165}

He revived in Fang Yuan’s secluded domain of heaven and earth, Human Sea. His mind was chaotic. He walked out of the sea onto the shore, bare and with no clothing, then jolted awake and checked his own body. He was in disbelief that he had already died. The Gu Immortal who led him out told him his cultivation level had been lost and he was a mortal who would need to cultivate from the start again. He knelt by the shore, raised his head, and shouted that he had been able to revive thanks to Fang Yuan’s kindness and generosity, tears flowing down his face. ^{ch. 2167} Other variant human Gu Immortals later said he had revived, and that any Gu Immortals who died in the outside world were revived through Human Sea, losing their cultivation level. ^{ch. 2168}
