Turbulent Flow Sea Area

The sea area’s sky stays covered in clouds and fog. Surface water looks calm, but many undercurrents of every kind run below with no fixed rhythm, and Gu Immortals name the place from that contrast. Entering Immortals often lose their sense of direction; the cloud layers are one cause because they block precise location. ^{ch. 1150}

An intense fight among many rank six and seven Gu Immortals, with no rank eight among them, carved dao marks that remade the environment into this unique Eastern Sea place and left wealth and inheritances behind. ^{ch. 1150}

On a deep trip Fang Yuan crosses yellow spring water, thousand illusion water, a magma current from blazing glory pit, a black soul current, a gold fragment current he judges as debris from immemorial yellow heaven, and a lightning water current. ^{ch. 1155} Ying Wu Xie states that a tributary of the River of Time runs among the currents here, which is why Shadow Sect could store treasure and use Regret Pool on an island inside. ^{ch. 1103}

Space path Immortal Gu are hard to use because the local dao marks are chaotic, so the safe habit is ordinary travel. Distance inside does not map cleanly onto time to a destination. The center stays relatively stable, and bubbles hold seas, islands, carcasses, and inheritances left from that founding battle. ^{ch. 1156}

One central bubble holds the secluded domain of heaven and earth City Well on its island. ^{ch. 1157} Fang Yuan tries Pulling Mountain and other methods but cannot relocate City Well on that trip; even Shadow Sect control does not move the secluded domain itself. ^{ch. 1158} On a later Eastern Sea pass he returns and moves City Well into his sovereign immortal aperture. ^{ch. 1488}

Demon Immortal Qi Jue reaches the same clouded sea of calm surface and irregular currents, infers that the sea area must hold a fragment of Xi, then dives to take it. ^{ch. 2002} He then states that he has dismantled the turbulent flow sea area while repairing Xi Land. ^{ch. 2003}
