At the welcome banquet she is the same age as Fang Yuan, and Gu Yue Bo hosts her beside her father. ^{ch. 171} Tie Xue Leng tells her that watching from the side is not enough, so he hands her the case and tests her first step; she answers by surveying Gu Yue village before digging into case details. ^{ch. 173} He also tells Gu Yue Bo that she has learned about eighty percent of his abilities and will work under his guidance. ^{ch. 171}

She inspects the buried demonic Gu Master the clan treats as Jia Jin Sheng’s killer, reads him as a Qing Mao hunter from clothing and shoes. ^{ch. 174} She later barges into the elder hall to name Wang Er and pin the assault on Gu Yue Fang Zheng as a mistaken attack meant for Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 175} After Fang Yuan admits slaughtering Wang Er’s mortal family, she presses guilt and then vents that Gu Masters treat mortal death as nothing; she also apologises for using Intuition Gu against her father’s advice, and he gives her Jia Fu’s case letter so she can keep pursuing Fang Yuan as the main suspect. ^{ch. 176}

With Fang Zheng’s help she turns to the Liquor worm’s origin, and Gu Yue Yao Ji smuggles her into the clan forbidden records; official history yields a Flower Wine Monk lead tied to that worm. ^{ch. 178} She then borrows Cactus Pointer, feeds it white silver primeval essence, and opens a tip that points her at aptitude; she then asks to see the Awakening Ceremony Photo-audio record. ^{ch. 179} Gu Yue Bo bargains for delay until after the three-clans competition, Tie Xue Leng agrees, and the Photo-audio Gu is smashed and played on the wall. ^{ch. 180} From Fang Yuan’s calm at the C grade result she argues that he is hiding a ten extreme physique. Gu Yue Bo’s internal reaction names Ancient Moon Desolate Yin and flips him into protecting Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 181} When father and Fang Yuan both go missing, she refuses Gu Yue Bo’s threat by naming her uncle as the sitting Tie clan leader and swears she will stay and arrest Jia Jin Sheng’s killer without maligning the innocent. ^{ch. 182} On the three-clans battlefield she grows black steel wings and flies after Fang Yuan when he tries to leave in mist. ^{ch. 190}

She is carried off the battlefield by Gu worms her father sent while dying, rushes back through Tie clan reinforcements, and finds only ice and no living father. Divine Investigator has fallen; her father is dead. ^{ch. 202} On the snow she vows that the feud of killing her father outweighs everything and that she will find the truth, then is sedated and escorted home against her protest. ^{ch. 203}

At Wan Cheng Mountain her uncle, the Tie clan leader, treats her as his niece after she lost her mother early and now her father, and she answers that her father finished his path of punishing crime and that it is her turn to walk the same road. ^{ch. 211}

Two years later she walks into Shang Clan City after Tie Dao Ku’s letter, already one of Tie clan’s eight young masters at rank three upper stage, with a faction that includes healers such as Tie Mu. ^{ch. 301 ch. 302} She presses Nan Qiu garden with repeated invitations until Fang Yuan meets her as Gu Yue Fang Zheng. She demands the truth of her father’s death and treats the purple thorn token as the main reason Tie clan has not seized him in the city. She had assumed Fang Yuan was Desolate Ancient Moon and therefore should already have died from that physique’s weakness; facing the man she takes for Fang Zheng, she revises that guess and says his brother sealed Qing Mao Mountain in ice as Northern Dark Ice Soul instead, and she believes that brother is already dead. ^{ch. 303} Pressing a Gu that, according to her reports, gives off a strong blood aura, she accepts when Fang Yuan tosses her blood moon Gu and claims it as leftover clan Gu from the mountain collapse. She then promises to take Tie Dao Ku away and to stop pursuing the matter. ^{ch. 303 ch. 304}

Li Xian reports that Tie Ba Xiu heads the Tie reinforcement as a strength path rank four upper stage Gu Master, and that she is also in that group as rank four initial stage and one of the eight young masters. ^{ch. 358}

She has slender legs. Her brows are sharp as a sword. Her eyes shine like the stars. Her thick eyelashes shade the resolute light in her eyes. ^{ch. 359}

Near San Cha Mountain the clan’s appointment makes her leader of that seven-person column even though Tie Ba Xiu outranks her in stage fame, and Fang Yuan blocks them alone. She offers guest status and a fair trial for Bai Ning Bing’s killing of a Tie Gu Master, then fights when he refuses. ^{ch. 359} She walks enslavement path and builds rank three grass puppet Gu rattan shell grass soldiers while Tie Dao Ku and others die covering her. ^{ch. 360 ch. 362} Tie Ba Xiu knocks her unconscious, seals her in iron cabinet Gu, and dies protecting that cabinet as the four old-timers arrive too late. ^{ch. 363} Later Tie Mu Bai teaches her golden needle Gu tactics against mountain apes, and she enters the three kings inheritance among the rank four Gu Masters after controlling her fury when Fang Yuan appears at the pillars. ^{ch. 374 ch. 376}

At the bottom of a Wan Cheng Mountain valley she opens her eyes at the last moment and unleashes a golden-light killer move that pulverizes a rockslide crashing down on her, passing the final test set by the supreme elder who taught her that move. He tells her she is suited for his Iron Mask true inheritance, that her father was one of his chosen seeds whose talent she exceeds countless times over, and takes her on to cultivate under him; she declares that she has surpassed her father and vows to become a Gu Immortal and win true strength. ^{ch. 1340}

Much later she is a rank five Gu Master under Tie Qu Zhong’s eye after closed cultivation in Demon Suppression Tower. ^{ch. 2262} Tie Mian Shen chooses her to inherit the Iron Mask true inheritance. She cultivates metal path and has learned the secret of natural inspiration from senior guidance. ^{ch. 2263}
