Tie Clan Leader

At Wan Cheng Mountain the clan leader pavilion stands at the mountain peak, heavily defended, and on top of it Tie Ruo Nan stands beside a middle aged man with a face cold as steel and some warmth in his eyes. He is the Tie clan leader, and he tells her that after her mother’s early death and her father’s death she has him, her uncle, and that he will not put his niece in danger. ^{ch. 211}

Tie Ruo Nan answers that her father spent his life eliminating evil and finished his path with resolution, and that it is now her turn to do the same. The Tie clan leader is stunned and sees Tie Xue Leng’s shadow in her. He recalls his younger days with Tie Xue Leng by his side, when Tie Xue Leng swore to lock every demonic Gu Master in the Demon Suppression Tower, and the narration calls Tie Xue Leng his friend, no longer around. Looking at her with an admiring, loving, worried and encouraging gaze, he tells her that the path she chose is not an easy one. ^{ch. 211}
