Desolate Ancient Moon

After Ren Zu fails to revive Verdant Great Sun and is swept back into Luo Po Valley, Desolate Ancient Moon cannot enter the Door of Life and Death without courage Gu and faith Gu, which remain with Ren Zu. Cognition Gu directs her to Cheng Bai mountain’s sole success Gu. Love Gu wakes a rockman who falls for her; she rejects his gifts, takes his heart when he offers it, and the telling continues into her climb for success Gu. ^{ch. 435}

A fuller stretch has her climb for success Gu so a wish can save Ren Zu. Love Gu collapses Cheng Bai mountain into failure Gu rocks. Searching them scars and warps her into a many-headed, many-limbed monster while also making her far stronger. Between the last two rocks she picks failure Gu and loses her sense of self. ^{ch. 547}

Northern Dark Ice Soul later awakens her. She gives her middle age to wisdom Gu for directions to a still blue sea of life Gu, then understands that humans themselves are human-shaped life gems. To obtain a human-shaped life Gu for Ren Zu, she sinks into the sea, is assimilated, and becomes a damaged human-shaped blue gem because she had already given away middle age. ^{ch. 591} A later summary states she sacrificed herself and turned into a damaged life gem after Northern Dark Ice Soul gave her a new meaning in life. ^{ch. 722}

Fate Gu later tells Ren Zu that it arranged love between Verdant Great Sun and Desolate Ancient Moon, love between the rockman and Desolate Ancient Moon, and the success and failure that ended in their deaths. ^{ch. 1619}
