Tie Ba Xiu

He is tall and buff with a square face and a steady expression. ^{ch. 359}

When he was young the clan spurned him, pushed him aside, and forced him to drift outside; he then encountered a righteous Gu Master inheritance and changed to strength path. Narration states that change made him renowned in the world and calls him a famous righteous path figure; with the rank five earth overlord Gu he is called present age overlord and has battle strength past ordinary rank four peak stage. On the hurried march toward San Cha Mountain he notes they are already very close, and that the clan made an exception and appointed Tie Ruo Nan as leader of the group, so even he must obey her orders. He is loyal to the clan, willing to be an assistant and stepping stone for its future hope. When he was down and out he received Divine Investigator Tie Xue Leng’s help, and he remains grateful; he judges Tie Ruo Nan a worthy successor. In the group’s battle formation he and Tie Ruo Nan hold the middle. When Fang Yuan claims knowledge of Divine Thief Lu Zuan Feng and Demon Suppression Tower, Tie Ba Xiu refuses the claim as it concerns Tie clan reputation. ^{ch. 359}

When Fang Yuan intercepts the group, Tie Ba Xiu meets him head-on. He then tries to talk Fang Yuan into pulling back by raising Bai Ning Bing’s safety and the cost of opposing Tie clan. Later he uses tyrant strength Gu, inherited from the ancient strength path and holding the strength of an overlord. He also activates earth overlord Gu, drawing formless strength from the earth to empower tyrant strength Gu. The two trade punches and kicks while Fang Yuan grows stronger from injuries and Tie Ba Xiu matches that rise. Tie Ba Xiu then judges the junior must be killed before he becomes a calamity for the righteous path. ^{ch. 360}

When Tie clansmen claim Fang Yuan is heavily encircled by their circle and by Tie Ruo Nan’s ratten shell grass soldiers, Fang Yuan forces Tie Ba Xiu back, then grows pitch black bone wings and flies out of that encirclement. Tie Ba Xiu shouts the group out of panic and judges flying needs bitter practice, so he tells them the junior may have trapped himself; he admits his own long distance methods are lacking and orders the others to attack. His fist energy reaches only a short distance. The grass soldiers cannot hit air targets. ^{ch. 361}

Tie Ba Xiu tries to keep the Tie clansmen steady and warns Tie Ruo Nan not to be engulfed by anger, but Fang Yuan kills the other fighters until only Tie Ruo Nan and Tie Ba Xiu remain. Her grass soldiers collapse into a single mass and leave Tie Ba Xiu and the others no room to move. Fang Yuan rates him rank four upper stage with battle strength past ordinary rank four peak stage because of earth overlord Gu, and the most powerful foe Fang Yuan has faced since leaving Qing Mao mountain. ^{ch. 362}

Tie Ba Xiu chooses retreat to save Tie Ruo Nan rather than abandon her. Fang Yuan stays in the air with beast phantoms while Tie Ba Xiu takes a beating and carries the unconscious Tie Ruo Nan toward the mountain foot. Watchers call him present age overlord and a cornerstone of Tie clan as he is chased. On San Cha mountain, among the five rank four peak stage Gu Masters, only Yi Huo would be able to contend with him. Near the foot he places Tie Ruo Nan in iron cabinet Gu with his last strength; a beast phantom rips him into pieces while the cabinet holds. He regrets that Fang Yuan never came down for close combat, leaving a trump card unrevealed. Fang Yuan says six of the seven Tie clansmen, including Tie Ba Xiu, lost their lives by his hands. ^{ch. 363}

The report that Fang Yuan took on seven Tie clansmen and killed Tie Ba Xiu spreads through Southern Border. Yi Huo treats Tie Ba Xiu’s fighting strength as equal to his own and concludes flying let Fang Yuan kill him despite Tie Ba Xiu’s greater true battle prowess in close terms. ^{ch. 364}
