He is called part of the senior generation of the demonic path, known for guiding newcomers, and has gathered many godsons and goddaughters into a sizable force. Guests include Rock Lizard Li Qiang and Fiery Star Bao Tong. After Fang Yuan killed Xue San Si he had proclaimed revenge, then went quiet after Tie Ba Xiu’s death. Li Qiang reminds him he is also strength path; Fang Yuan arrives outside, names him strength path, and demands he come out to exchange moves. ^{ch. 367}

He walks out rather than ruin years of reputation by refusing in public. Outside the cave the fight is framed as two strength path Gu Masters at close range. Fang Yuan’s beast phantoms press him until he tries to retreat toward the cave. Bai Ning Bing blocks the path, Fang Yuan tears him in half, and his corpse is left on the ground while Fang Yuan takes the host seat and occupies the cave. ^{ch. 368}
