Yi Huo

Shang clan talk on the mountain says the clan has sent strong reinforcement and that Elder Yi Huo is rushing there. The same passage states he is one of the five great elders of Shang clan, rank four peak stage, and an expert under Shang Yan Fei whose arrival should change the whole mountain’s situation. ^{ch. 354}

When he visits Fang Yuan’s cave, the text presents him as a handsome fire path Gu Master with long red hair. People call him Blazing Inferno, famous in the Southern Border, rank four peak stage. Fang Yuan treats him as ranked above light swordsman Wei Yang, and as the most popular of Shang clan’s five great elders, the one publicly given the highest chance of advancing to rank five. Yi Huo invites Fang Yuan to join Shang clan, offers to rescue Bai Ning Bing from Tie clan elders if they join, and says Shang Yan Fei promised that great merit at San Cha Mountain will let him change his surname to Shang and gain true elder authority to recommend talent. Fang Yuan delays and then refuses, saying he prefers demonic path freedom. ^{ch. 355}

In Fang Yuan’s previous-life memories, Yi Huo was dispatched to San Cha Mountain, suppressed Wu Shen Tong and Yi Chong, defeated Kong Ri Tian and Long Qing Tian, and ruled for a time until Long Qing Tian poisoned him with blue halo Gu and forced him back to Shang Clan City for treatment by Doctor Su Shou. This visit’s recruitment pitch differs from that memory. ^{ch. 355}

At the next opening of the three kings inheritance, he claims King Bao Inheritance as a fire path Gu Master matching King Bao’s path, and suppresses Kong Ri Tian, Long Qing Tian, and Yi Chong with a vast flame display. Onlookers name his rank five Gu prairie fire. Wu Shen Tong admits Yi Huo is a notch above him; the same stretch names Yi Huo as one of Shang clan’s five great generals with the nickname Blazing Inferno. After he enters the red light pillar, talk on the mountain still pairs him with Shang clan’s five great experts. ^{ch. 356}

As one of Shang clan’s five great experts, Elder Yi Huo learns that Fang Yuan fought seven Tie clansmen and killed six, including Tie Ba Xiu. He concludes flying methods explain the kill, recalls losing a challenge to flying Gu Master Wei Yang, and regrets that he can no longer recruit little beast king: coercion would fail against flight, Fang Yuan is a Shang purple thorn esteemed guest, and recruiting him would offend Tie clan. The same stretch states he accepted the San Cha Mountain command to earn great merit, become a Shang clansman, reach Shang clan’s living treasure door resources, and advance toward rank five. ^{ch. 364}

Banquet talk says Shang clan’s Yi Huo suppressed the other four rank four peak stage experts so that none want to fight him, that refinement path Gu Master Feng Tian Yu has agreed to refine Gu for him, and that he is still only rank four peak stage. ^{ch. 367}

When Tie Mu Bai appears, he easily defeats Yi Huo together with Kong Ri Tian, Long Qing Tian, Yi Chong, and Wu Shen Tong. At a later righteous-path banquet Yi Huo toasts him as junior to senior; narration says Yi Huo’s plan to rule San Cha Mountain is already cut at its root. ^{ch. 370}

During the joint assault on the dog army, Yi Huo turns into a god of fire more fiercely than Yi Chong, telling himself that success would let him change his surname to Shang when he returns to the clan. ^{ch. 393}

When Fang Yuan flees after the immortal treasure dispute, Yi Huo sends fire birds after him. ^{ch. 398}

In a later push toward the bronze hall he again charges as a god of fire through blazing flames and crying dogs. ^{ch. 403}
