Tie Mu Bai

At the mountain stone tombstones of fallen Tie clansmen, an aged voice startles Tie Xuan Zhi, then a wizened hand on his shoulder names him and asks him to compose himself. Tie Xuan Zhi blurts out old clan leader; the old man says he has already abdicated, is not an elder now, and that the name Tie Mu Bai was meant to be used. He stands before the steles and tells Tie Ruo Nan that Tie clansmen are buried where they die, that dying on the battlefield is their greatest honor, and that her father Tie Xue Leng was the same. ^{ch. 369}

Glory of Tie clan

Tie Ruo Nan recognizes him as rank five peak stage, Tie clan’s previous generation clan leader, who once moved unhindered in Southern Border and pressed Wu clan, Shang clan, and other great clans while he reigned. He praises Fang Yuan as little beast king while warning against letting hatred deceive wisdom, assigns Fang Zheng as Tie Ruo Nan’s mission, and toasts the glory of righteousness. ^{ch. 370} When Chou Jiu ascends San Cha mountain, Tie Mu Bai invites him earnestly and the two drink happily in a banquet. ^{ch. 375}
