Mechanic Gu

Healing Gu are Gu worms whose role is to recover injuries or otherwise restore a Gu Master. They are one of the six common Gu classifications.

Among the six classifications Fang Yuan tracks for his own set, attack and defense, movement, storage, and recon sit beside healing. He names the missing piece simply as a healing Gu. Healing Gu worms at rank three that he finds desirable include Endless Vitality Gu for sustained healing at low primeval cost, Undying Grass as a life-preservation Gu that can save him while a single breath remains, and Self-reliance Gu, which recovers injuries faster the stronger the Gu Master is. ch. 161

Named healing Gu

Therapy Light Gu is a rank three healing Gu with area-of-effect properties. It can stop bleeding at once, fully recover light wounds, and heal heavy wounds by half. A thunder crown wolf can carry a healing Gu on its body; that Gu’s presence turns the fight into a war of attrition because wild Gu can draw natural essence from the air while Gu Masters spend aperture primeval essence. ch. 164

Against expendable medicine

Medication items and bandages are expendable, hard to make, and slow to restock. A healing Gu gives a better effect and spends primeval essence that can recover naturally. ch. 209
