Bei Cao Chuan

Remnant Bei tribe higher-ups hide near the field after their camp falls. Their leader Bei Cao Chuan sighs that Zheng tribe is finished, reads Fang Yuan’s pressure under the Chang Shan Yin name as wise, and refuses a rush to retake the empty camp or burn Ge tribe rations while captives still live. He holds rank four among rank three elders, and the same stretch places him at about thirty with deep prestige inside the tribe. ^{ch. 481}

Rise inside Bei tribe

As a youth he was the least likely heir, kept a low profile while siblings fought, and waited until the old Bei tribe leader needed a healing Gu from a spirit rhino myriad beast king. He buried himself in a mud swamp for seven days, endured a crushed leg without a sound, stole the wild Gu, and hopped back on one leg to save his father. That act revealed rank three peak stage cultivation, won him the young tribe leader seat, and later the tribe leader seat as he expanded Bei tribe. ^{ch. 481}

After the camp loss

He brings Bei tribe elders to Wang tribe when Ge tribe’s strike has already made him a vagabond leader, and Pei Yan Fei’s side is named among the same crescent-lake fallout. ^{ch. 484} On the later field against Ge tribe he directs Bei and Zheng elders, waits for a chance to kill Chang Shan Yin rather than waste the one strike, and watches Pei Yan Fei’s Golden Rainbow Strike while revising his own plan as the wolf group shifts. ^{ch. 483} Fang Yuan later classes Liu tribe’s strongest enslavement expert as Bei Cao Chuan and treats his grass soldier troops as unimportant beside higher ranked Gu Masters. ^{ch. 527}
