Accumulating Ash Gu

Fang Yuan names Accumulating Ash Gu among the three rank three Gu worms inside a lava crocodile king while he and Bai Ning Bing scout a mountain valley on the road toward Bai Gu mountain. ^{ch. 207}

Form and rank

Lava explosion Gu, flame stomach Gu, and Accumulating Ash Gu are all rank three Gu worms living in that lava crocodile king. ^{ch. 207} The cited chapters give no body shape, size, or color for Accumulating Ash Gu itself. The English chapter text used here also gives no Chinese characters for the Gu’s name.

Effect

Fang Yuan groups it with the king’s attack and defense Gu and names healing as its basic role among those three aspects. Bai Ning Bing treats Accumulating Ash Gu as the worm that can heal the crocodile king after its defenses are broken, which is why a drawn-out fight would favor the beast. ^{ch. 207} Narration again calls it a very ideal healing Gu for Fang Yuan’s situation at that time. ^{ch. 208} The same chapters do not show a separate on-page healing activation beyond that attrition analysis and those healing labels.

Feeding

Fang Yuan calls it ash Gu in the same breath and says it eats ashes as food, so it is easy to feed, and that it would suit them as a healing Gu worm. ^{ch. 207}

Lava crocodile king and lost chance

The host is a thousand beast king lava crocodile sunning in a valley. Fang Yuan and Bai Ning Bing probe it, then plan to lure other beast kings into fighting it rather than attack head on, because Accumulating Ash Gu would heal the king in a battle of attrition. Before they can carry that plan out, a Xuan Yuan Divine Pheasant kills the crocodile king. ^{ch. 207 ch. 208}

After the pheasant leaves, the two search the corpse. Flame stomach Gu is already destroyed as glass-like remains. Lava explosion Gu and Accumulating Ash Gu are gone. The narration says wild Gu leave and roam once the host dies, and that not obtaining Accumulating Ash Gu was within Fang Yuan’s expectations. ^{ch. 208} Later chapters searched for this page do not name another capture or owner of Accumulating Ash Gu after that loss.
