Lava Explosion Gu

Fang Yuan and Bai Ning Bing scout a mountain valley on the road toward Bai Gu mountain and find a lava crocodile king sunning there as a thousand beast king. ^{ch. 207}

Cited chapters give no Chinese name for this Gu, and none show a Gu Master holding or activating a copy outside that crocodile king scene.

Form and rank

Lava explosion Gu, Flame Stomach Gu, and Accumulating Ash Gu are all rank three Gu worms living in that lava crocodile king. ^{ch. 207} The cited chapters give no body shape, size, or color for Lava Explosion Gu itself.

Effect

When Bai Ning Bing probes the crocodile king, it opens its mouth and shoots a dark red lava fireball the size of a stonemill. The fireball arcs, lands on mountain rock, and explodes into a crater with flowing lava. Fang Yuan concludes that attack is rank three lava explosion Gu. He groups it with the king’s defense and healing Gu as the attack piece among attack, defense, and healing. Bai Ning Bing treats that attack Gu as one reason a direct fight is near impossible, even before naming Flame Stomach Gu and Accumulating Ash Gu as the defense and healing problems. ^{ch. 207}

Lava crocodile king and lost chance

The host is a lava crocodile king sunning in a valley. Fang Yuan and Bai Ning Bing judge a direct fight too hard, partly because this Gu covers the king’s attack, and they look for a way to use other beast kings against it instead. ^{ch. 207} A Xuan Yuan Divine Pheasant later kills the crocodile king. ^{ch. 208}

After the pheasant leaves, the two search the corpse. Flame Stomach Gu is already destroyed as glass-like remains. Lava Explosion Gu and Accumulating Ash Gu are gone. Wild Gu leave and roam once the host dies. ^{ch. 208} No cited chapter after 208 names a later owner or capture of this Gu.
